Been told this morning that our board have offered the job to various people, but no one will take it because they either don't think our squad is good enough to stay up or they don't want to work with Martin Ling our DOF.

We are proper fucked at the minute football wise.

What’s wrong with Lingy?
I think its more managers want full control over things when it comes to negotiating players contracts etc which is mainly what Ling does.

I have no issues with him, but he comes across these days as a miserable old man alot of the time which the fans don't take to.

Alot of our fans use him as a punch bag because 5 of our 6 managers have been sacked and he's played his part in hiring them.

I'd definitely be looking at Sol Campbell for that managers job. From Plaistow too!

Paul Lambert apparently offered our job now.

Not that I have an issue with that, as we're basically fucked, but it shows just how bad the planning has been from us.

Just get Keith Curle now FFS.

Pretty stunning decline from Orient in such a quick timescale. Almost echos of us last season when we started like a train 19 points from the first 10 then went shit for 25 games winning three, had a crisis with the manager situation before thankfully an equally bonkers run of 8 wins and a draw to stop the rot.

Hopefully Orient get sorted as they shouldn’t really be struggling.

We've apparently offered Ritchie Wellens THREE different types of contract to try and get him here.

He'd be mad to take over this shower of shit we currently have, anyone would be.

I can't say I particularly warmed to Wellens from the most recent Salford documentary.

Been told Wellens has got it and he will be announced at some point tomorrow, 4th offer made to him to do it and he's accepted it.

Being paid more than Jackett was apparently, its basically a Kings Ransom from what I've heard for a club of our status and a last gasp resort from our board and investors to get themselves out of this mess, because they've badly mismanaged the footballing side of things here this season.

I am happy enough, the players stopped running for Jackett and when he left the players whilst showing a bit more desire here and there have clearly not had a plan to work with and have basically looked terrible.

If we go down with Wellens in charge it won't be his fault, it will be Jacketts and our board of directors for their poor man management of the squad and transfer policy/strategy.

If Orient get the Swindon version of him it’ll work out quite nicely in the medium term I reckon. That team played some pretty decent football from memory.

Seemed a bit of a dick on the class of 92 documentary! Fairly different character to Jackett that’s for sure!

Wellens confirmed on a 2 and a half year deal.

Hope he has started learning about the National League and what lies within it.

Aaaaand we’ve appointed that shitcunt Paul Terry as Wellens’ assistant. Fuck this club. Hate it more than any other time in my 30 years supporting.

What’s he done to warrant that? Was he Wellens’ choice or was he the club’s?

Well, apart from being a fat, useless anchor weighing down our otherwise-good midfield for years, with drug-dealing parents and a wrongcock brother, his committing 209 breaches of the FA’s betting policy, his getting banned from Orient for poaching our youngsters behind the club’s back when he was an agent and him shagging his teammate’s missus causing the poor lad to hang himself… not much I suppose.

Christ, what on earth are the club thinking of appointing him then?

I don't even get the Wellens thing either. He was odds on favourite for our job the night before we appointed Hughes, so glad it wasn't Wellens.

Be interesting though to see how our clubs compare next season with our new managers. We were both fancied this season under new experienced managers, and of course both failed miserably.

Then I presume he wasn’t Wellens’ pick. Could be a recipe for disaster already.

Got to be his last shot at management I would have thought. Since he got us promoted in the Covid season (Yes it was PPG but hey ho) his roles at Salford and Doncaster have been less than impressive. I don't have anything bad to say about him, we played decent football when he was here and there was a bit of a buzz about the place. I expect Dion Conroy will end up at Orient when his contract expires at the end of this season and he'll probably try and sign Rob Hunt. I expect he'll be able to pull you away from relegation and you should be nearer the right end of the table next season.

That confirmed with Stevenage or just rumoured at the moment? Doesn't seem to have worked out much for Tisdale since he was at MK. Suppose Stevenage are overdue a Westley return for about the 800th time.

Tisdale gone and Evans in all confirmed now. I liked the Tisdale appointment not going to lie, 3 wins in 20 is a bit shit though. Hopefully Evans will have enough about him to keep us up!
