Little harsh here as that was always the plan, it was also the plan when Lee was still in charge, Sweeney would work the academy side and bridge the gap between academy and first team.

Probably is, But there is absolutly no reason for not tapping Sweens Knowledge.

Another reason i believe he,s clueless is when interviewed he insists he wanst to sign more up front.

In that break Featherstone was having a massive go at Hastie and Sterry had to keep Hastie away from him. Another unsavoury exhibition of our team spirit was when McDonald scored and only a few players went over to him. The rest of them were too busy tearing strips off each other to notice it was 1s each

Jeez that's sounds bad.
If you have a team of poor players,team spirit can get you results.

Thoughts? He was meant to be in the picture for the TRFC job during our non-league days. Likely to achieve the primary aim of keeping you in the FL, even if the style of play won’t be impressive, but long term thought Dale would be wanting more.

also Dmitri Sea (CF) who we released in the summer still looks like he's without a club;- he got the winner against you at our place last season.

also Dmitri Sea (CF) who we released in the summer still looks like he's without a club;- he got the winner against you at our place last season.

Dmitri Sea, 1 goal in 18 last year and it was against us shock horror. Just the type of striker we'd sign.

Mark Ellis is he any good? We just need someone with experience, commanding presence, fit the bill? He's not Scottish though so I doubt we'd be interested.

He's 33 and was at Tranmere for 3 years before signing for us. 6'3" about 150 L1/L2 appearances.

Rhys Bennett is still a free agent. Good centre back at this level. Really surprised he hasn’t been snapped up yet. Can only assume he’s demanding silly wages, probably playing the long game waiting for someone desperate enough to pay over the odds.

We're bottom of the league, so staying up is the first priority. Jim B managed to keep Morecambe up on limited resources for a number of years. He also doesn't appear to be an advocate of tippy tappy, which has been overdone by us for a few years. Most folk are willing to give him a chance.

Plus, he was sacked at Fylde by our ex-CEO, sacked by us previously (and now sacked by Fylde himself, I believe). Nothing like mutual contempt for someone to create a bond...
