I know why Sol Campbell didn't apply for the Glasgow Rangers or Derby County jobs when vacant because he would have next to no chance of getting them, that’s why.

And why should he ,he really doesn,t help himself for a lot of clubs appointing the likes of gerrard ,lampard ,or even giggs is seen as showing intent ,thus the money recuperated will subsidise the risk of the appointment ,the likes of those mentioned are going to be given chances unafforded to others ,some call it racism ,its all about the money lets face it a sneering paul ince is hardly likeable ,the guvnor, says it all really

I have no idea after that post whether you believe historic racism exists in football and particularly managerial or not. I’m none the wiser.

I think the main reason why Lampard and Gerrard got jobs at big clubs and Campbell didn’t had nothing to do with racism, and more to do with the fact that Lampard and Gerrard actually applied for those jobs, as opposed to Campbell who sits on his throne at home moaning about it whilst never actually bothering to apply, the egotistical deluded fucking ball bag.

In the last 10-15 years, at least 25 PL/EfL clubs have appointed BAME managers at one point or another. So Campbell not getting a job till now can't only be down to racism imo, there must be another reason.....

At least 25? I'm not trying to beef you here, more genuinely interested, but is that true? Can you name these 25 clubs and examples?

How many clubs have Powell, Curle and Ince managed, that must be close to 25 between them

We have had Paul Ince twice AND a liverpudlian. We are not racist, just stupid.

Have a look at the excellent Out of Their Skin documentary on the history of black footballers in the UK. There are still entrenched opinions on the suitability of black players becoming managers. They are still seen as less intelligent than their white counterparts - seeing Harry Redknapp on Celebrity I find that hard to believe.

I think I'm correct in saying we were the first to employ a black manager in the early 90's - Keith Alexander.

Big Keith's football was mostly rubbish to watch but was hugely effective and brought him great success when put in proper context.

Lots and lots of articles in both the broadsheets , on the internet and TV interviews about racism in football . Some are very interesting , I encourage all to take a quick look

Hasn't he just been given a big new contract ? Why would he resign and lose all that money that is his ??

He'll feel much better after beating managerless Camb Utd on the weekend. Then it will be 'absolutely no chance' of resigning.

I wouldn't be so sure. Look what happened when we were in a seemingly unbeatable position last Saturday.

Good. Hope he’s still in charge on Boxing Day as we need all the help we can get at the moment!

Don't worry, last Saturday we even managed to outdo the 3-3 at your place a couple of years ago.

Oh trust me Glover, that's what I keep thinking about to keep my spirits up!

'but it's only Yeovil'
'but they're on this poor run of form'
'surely...surely......we can beat them even though we're crap.....surely??.....'

I trust both of us are well acquainted with such thoughts, also known as clutching at straws, unfortunately ;)

Argghhhhhh :ffs:
