Hes just not the right fit. I’m not totally sold on Richardson, more so when you read the Rotherham reviews, but did win the League 1 title didn’t he?

Anyway betting has been suspended with Richardson as odds on favourite, so looks like it’s him.

I hope it's not him, "exciting appointment" my arse.

But we'll see..

He was certainly dealt a bad hand by Matt Taylor TBF, but the way he set the team up was dreadful.

He produced some of the most boring displays in all my time watching the Millers certainly on par with the George Kerr and Danny Bergara's teams.

I know everyone hates Steve Evans but I'd have carried him here to get rid of Richardson. If he had stayed I would not have renewed my season ticket, that's how boring it was.
It wasn't the losing I expect that in the Championship, it was the painful way he went about it.
You’d of carried steve evans? Bloody hell, I look forward to seeing you on the telly at Christmas for the worlds strongest man

Steve Evans Mum ended up walking like John Wayne after she had to have 177 stitches down below after giving birth to the fat fuck.

Rumours now are that Rob Elliot will become our sporting director with Nigel Pearson as our manager.

Could be the other way around, but having them two at our club would be something.

Sounds very aligned. Two men well known for trying to do things the same way.

If this were true, surely it would be the other way round.

Interestingly the bookies have started taking bets again.

Richardson 1/3
Elliot 4/1
Pearson 5/1

The Pearson rumour is probably bollocks but I've looked a bit more into Leam Richardson and if he gets the job then he could potentially be a very good appointment.
Yes he was awful at Rotherham but he did inherit a shit show and that was in the Championship and we're in L2 and he did win L1 with Wigan just a couple of year ago.

I don’t think Richardson will be a very good appointment at all and it will go against everything the owners have said they want.
The Rotherham thing last season raises huge alarm bells. We’ve just sacked Simpson for his awful performance last season, so to employ someone off the back of an equally bad season seems crazy.
I just think Richardson is a slightly less shit option than Wild.

But i don’t want either to be honest.

Rob Elliot seems the most likely I think as apparently his agent was at our shit pot trophy match against Forest and then Elliot was coincidentally off ill for the Gateshead match Saturday just gone and their fans seem anxious as to why there's been very little social media activity from the club and no word from Elliot since last week.

Elliot is an interesting one for me, inherited a decent squad and playing similarly to Williamson as far as I have heard so you don't know for sure how well that would translate to another club. Would need some patience I think

I don’t think it will be Elliot.

I thought it might be a possibility but thinking about it, them holding interviews in the week would suggest they aren’t going for someone currently in a job.

If we were going for Elliot it would be decide he’s our man, approach Gateshead, permission to speak etc, announce. Not oh do you fancy coming for an interview in Manchester along with 5 other candidates.

All the betting and forums only mentioning British names but I'm not writing off a Gabriel Cioffi type appointment.

Finished 7-1

I wonder if something behind the scenes has contributed to that performance

Carlisle want Williamson according to Nixon.

They can have him, I've been converted after the abject performance on Saturday.

Williamson is a great manager and I think the problem is more to do with how your club is run, not how he sets his team up.

Any manager would be unmotivated to manage a soulless plastic club with a ridiculously big empty stadium.

Obvious bait is obvious. The home form is much better as you will remember after we demolished you in August.

worth noting the bookies suspending betting doesn't mean that whoever they had as favourite at that point is still the favourite. They may not have a clue but they don't want to take bets on something that seems like a done deal and is just waiting on an announcement.

If we get Williamson, will MK get Elliot?

Alan Nixon says the compensation is around £200k

Not bad to get that for a manager fans want sacked.
