Was thinking bad news for Derby - who deserve to be relegated for the off field cheating......... Then i saw who the new Manager was.

There's actually talk on our forum that if/ when Kirchner takes over that he might replace Ryan Lowe with his own man, with Wayne Rooney mentioned. There would be massive outrage if that happened, Lowe is really popular here already.

Honestly no idea what to make of all this, supposedly there might even be plans to build a new training ground and academy. We've only been in the one at Euxton for two years.

No one can even say how much this guy is actually worth with any certainty. It's hard to keep up with the gossip and supposed 'In The Know' guys.

Just googled this Kirchner chap, certainly a bit strange he seems so desperate to get involved with a football club.

Doesnt scream wealthy, his company has been through some seed funding rounds up to Series B so is considered fairly promising but not made the big breakthrough yet.

You lot are a category three academy right? If so, that probably makes sense. As high quality as Euxton is, it can't be built upon as far as I'm aware and doesn't have an indoor pitch (which you need to qualify for category two). Hence why we bought the Soccerdome next door to the DW in order to gain category two status.

I wonder if we'd be interested in buying Euxton back if it does come up for sale.

Yeah, think that's all correct.

The club still owns the land in Ingol so that's a huge area to build on if planning permission is secured. The only reason it went tits up last time is because Hemmings threw a load of houses into the plans.

We still own our old Springfield site too, so could potentially have a separate setup there.

Saw that being reported at the weekend and thought it sounded a bit harsh but then looked at their form and the only time they have won recently is against us! Which they always do for existential reasons relating to the heat death of the universe seemingly so does it really count?

Not sure what the expectations are there but in and around the playoffs which is where they still are seems reasonable

The Wharburton one feels a bit harsh to me. Yes they haven’t had a good run in 2022 but before then they seemed to be building nicely.

Maybe it went a bit stale there perhaps and they felt he took it as far as he could.

Its a cut throat, greedy League. So many clubs feel they have the size and history to be a Premier League Club. It throttles a lot of them.

I wonder when Jones stock will have risen enough to overshadow the Stoke debacle for his name to crop up on a list. Id not be surpised if QPR is one of the first.

Don't see Jones repeating his previous mistake and jumping ship again, he knows how good he has it and the lure of Power Court must be a factor now as it edges closer to fruition.

Watford going for Rob Edwards from Forest Green is a really interesting one.

Certainly a different approach than what has gone before it but does feel like a huge jump albeit for an up and coming manager. Be interesting to see if the different type of appointment comes with a different approach in patience from ownership!

I’m not so sure, a different approach maybe but if it ends with the same outcome (and I see no reason as yet why it won’t), then it would confirm the old adage about insanity.

Its been said the club want a longer term approach and younger squad etc .

Manager for 2022-2023. Breaking the Keith Alexander record for fewest minutes ever as a manager, sacked in a whole 60 seconds. Watford will shortly name their manager for 2023-2024.

I think you're thinking of Leroy Rosenior at Torquay, not Keith Alexander.

Vincent Kompany in talks with Burnley - going for a big name player rather than someone proven as a manager?

Probably has a few contacts at Man City!

Lowe has brought in Salford's head fitness coach, and Fleetwood's Chief Scout. Certainly seems to have been given a lot of control.

Hope he's bringing in good staff, and not jobs for the boys.

Oh wow, Critchley leaving that piece of shit club to become an assistant is fucking hilarious. They're going down this season, lump on.

Clear sign that there will be zero player investment after their owner paying for this land for a training ground.

Feels a very strange move. Beale was highly thought of as Gerrards assistant and somewhat considered the “brains” of the operation and he’s just been able to get the QPR job. So not sure Critchelys plan here unless he’s banking on Gerrard being sacked so he can takeover at which point why are Villa/Gerrard interested?
