This guy.

You've seen your club play one season at this level, in your entire history. Tranmere Rovers have done a century at this level, up to the second tier of English football. Don't need to tell us what we need to be doing and what's required at this level.

No doubt we'll finish ahead of your pathetic little pub team.
looks like Prenton park will be a happy hunting ground for Chris FGR

Haha I think so.

Another fan with the delusion that what they did in 1953 or something totally irrelevant to now will make a difference to this season.

We gave away two stupid goals then didn’t quite have enough to get back into it. We played well between the two boxes but we missed two one on ones and blazed several half chances over the bar. Exeter had plenty of chances too including hitting the bar in the second half which would have killed the game off too. They’re clearly a good side, it’s just bloody irritating we gave them a two goal head start in the first 15 mins.

If we play like that all season we’ll stay up, especially if we don’t make such idiotic mistakes.

Is Vaughan that good anymore? I know Notts fans were raving at signing him but at Vale we’ve had multiple big name ex Premier League players (a couple not even that old)

Michael Tonge
Danny Pugh
Chris Eagles
Ryan Taylor
Jerome Thomas

Can’t say any of them were a boost to us apart from maybe Eagles once he got fit who tried in Vein to keep us up.

A lot of these ex big names are here because they are knocking on but struggle with the pace. Two of the above being our midfield last year was why we were so bad!

One of the greatest midfielders of the past twenty years managed to get relegated at this level of course.

Vaughan is obviously a good player but for some reason we are playing him in a midfield two alongside Noor Husin (basically a rubbish version of David Vaughan), which is scandalous behaviour from the manager.

I don’t think he’s particularly the signing we needed or was necessary, mind.

I was s surprised on Friday night when I saw them as a pairing and shocked tonight by Nolan s arrogance in sticking with them.
That pairing will never come good

Have to say i was pretty shocked to see County beaten tonight. I think it's clear that Nolan needs to work on the defence and quick. Hopefully it's just an early season blip for you County fans.

Was surprised by Grimsby last night, not only for their weird fan 'boycott' (apparently still a thing) of 600+ fans ending up being one of the highest away followings of the night, but also because they were better than expected in the first half, and we were abysmal.

Good signs for us that Tisdale has some idea of what he's doing, two half time subs resulting in an equaliser within a minute of the restart.

From there, we bossed most of the second half and really should have won it, have no idea how the ball stayed out during that goal mouth scramble late on.

Says how much we've come on since last term that we're still unbeaten and I'm slightly disappointed we haven't got more points on the board having had our chances in the drawn games.

Pretty average from Mansfield who came up against a pretty average tranmere side.

Neither side deserved to win and a point was very fair, Mansfield missed 2 sitters towards the end and tranmere put in good crosses towards the end.

Hayden white could have seen a red for a wreckless challenge in the first half.

Had tranmere had their shooting boots on they would have won, flitcrofts negative tactics nearly cost us
Well walker missed a sitter ,pearce had one cleared offthe line and khan forced their keeper to make a cracking save, cant get past your flitcroft hatred can you adam

Two hit the bar and one the post! Looked relatively easy for once

Have to say was very pleased when I saw Khan coming off, he looks a really tidy player.

Solid from us tonight and thought Mcculloch slotted in well having only just signed.

I thought it was an entertaining game and a draw was a fair result. Mansfield were by far the best team we have played so far, with a lot of power and pace, but strangely did not create much and we had the better of the few chances. Some of the link up play between our front four is very good to watch.

I don't think we have got the depth to challenge this season, but we should finish comfortably in mid table.

Yeah we were a bit toothless due to our front two having a bad day.

I would argue we had the better chances though, not much in it like.

You will get much more of the ball against most other teams in this division.

It's like the signings were made on paper by a committee. We need to sign two people who scored more than 15 goals, tick.

We need a ball playing midfielder, tick.

Regardless of the fact we are playing in league two and the fact that none of them have any real physical presence.

County need to stick with Nolan for a while yet, they don’t want to become that usual circus again.

Sounds like County needed a Neal Bishop more than a Vaughan.

Pathetic little pub team? So you can insult a whole club for a fan who is obviously just joking.

Wow, what an intelligent retort , you show yourself as a bitter, pathetic idiot with the pub team comment.

Tranmere were actually quite a small club at the levels they were playing at before the conference, I remember you bringing about 200 fans to Swindon on a Saturday for instance.

However I realise they are a proper league club with a rich history and would not degenerate a club and belittle them as you have done.

Simpson was awesome when he came on, had a brilliant game.
Always thought Simpson was harshly treated by some City fans. Ok so he’s not a goal scorer which is clear but he does give 100% and can work alongside a decent front man to create space by being a bit of a disruptor up top.
