Jatta will start, I’d hope with McGoldrick but doubt he’ll start after missing a couple of weeks.

I hope we go with this

Bass
Macari Platt Bedeau
Tsaroulla Palmer Robertson Gordon
Crowley Jatta Didzy

If Didzy can’t start then I’d play Martin or Brown over Austin or Abbott.

Austin and Abbott are ideal for a game like this IMO, great at pressing and running around loads, winning battles and stuff. It’s at home where we don’t always need them.

Austin isn’t good at anything but I know everyone rates him higher than I do. I get the pressing argument but having those two playing off Jatta just means when Crowley picks the ball up deep, he’s got absolutely no-one to play the ball forward to

Update - Maynard’s picked both. That team has zero attacking threat man, just relying on Crowley doing something amazing or Jatta getting on the end of a cross

Exact team I’d have picked for this I think haha, we shall see. Reckon the running around a lot men today is good.

I don't mind the lineup, I think Chesterfield will come flying out so we need to be ready for that. Still enough quality going forward to take advantage if we get chances and plenty on the bench once the game slows down. If Chesterfield take the approach to let us have the ball then we might look a bit clueless though

That back 4 looks a bit bad on paper when Dunkley isn't in it, and moving Naylor there makes the midfield look woof. A bit apprehensive now

The cringe is unbearable when Arsenal sing about being the greatest team the world has ever seen, hearing them lot sing it during a L2 match just nearly made me puke.

Sam Austin is unbearably bad

Notts County looking pretty good ever since Chesterfield's goal

Great cross in for Jatta's goal, Naylor stood no chance with Jatta coming over him

Great game, as this fixture somehow always is. We’re causing carnage down our left.

It's an interesting decision from us not to operate much of a press. I don't like the lack fo intensity from us, but I think it's a symptom of this odd lineup, players not used to each other. Colclough for Berry is something I'd probably do early 2nd half.

Stockport County.
Very watchable game. Crowley for Notts always the best player on the pitch whenever I watch him.

Yeah a good player, I wonder if we try again in January.

Depends where we are in the table, if we’re midtable then we should sell him

Good game this - think Abbott’s done ok on the right. Crowley and Gordon playing well. Robbo a bit sloppy in possession and Austin predictably anonymous

1-1 about right from a really entertaining half I’d say, been trading spells of ten minute dominance. Both defences done quite well to restrict it to half chances other than the goals tbf.

I'd sub Austin for McGoldrick I think, we'd hold the ball up better and have more goal threat.
Entertaining half, both teams look like scoring and conceding.

The Dunkley miss is having such an impact on this game. A physical presence at the back and set pieces. The knock on meaning we've lost Naylors control of the game in the middle which is huge imo. I think Dobra Markanday Berry rotating around is giving a County something to think about, but we've got to get Madden in the game more. Get players in and around him to stretch some of those defenders away, he's surrounded. County more likely to win I think unless we change something.

Yeah, no chance he's staying if we're in League Two next season and he's out of contract at the end of the season.

Good game so far, we are riding our luck with some of this playing out but also getting some good opportunities with it.

Good game this, as it was always going to be.

Both teams look like good sides without being overly impressive.

I'd be tempted for Jones on for Metcalfe sooner rather than later, we're getting beat in the middle. Or even Grimes and move Naylor

County complete flat back 11 out of possession is something you've got to look to punish by pushing more up I reckon.
