Really?! When?
Ive also never heard that before.
Really?! When?
South Underhill gained planning approval on the proviso TK gave up Underhill. He declined to do this, wanting to keep both so the Ladies and Acadamy used Underhill only with the players also training there. He offered to demolish most of ground only keeping main stand and that side. Council declined so TK threw his toys and went to Harrow council, who had already approached him about taking over PEPF.It's just not true. Every proposal to build a ground in the Borough was rejected at the planning stage.
And Boreham WoodI would make an exception here for Salford City.

I don't want to see either of them fold but they should be playing at step 3/4, which is where they would be if they weren't bankrolled.
That was not the case. The South Underhill proposal gained approval from the council in 2002 and was not called in by the GLA. Unfortunately, following local government elections control of the council changed hands from a Lab/Lib-Dem coalition to the Tories, who blocked South Underhill from proceeding any further.South Underhill gained planning approval on the proviso TK gave up Underhill. Nearly all clubs are bankrolled. Only a handful are bankrolled to beyond their natural level.
I felt really good when Torquay got relegated, it was karma for their disgraceful preparation and performance at Guiseley on the last day of 2015/16 season, which handed 3 gift wrapped points to the home team and sent us down, while we were battling a Macclesfield team who were rightfully determined to uphold their duty to al the other teams involved in the relegation fight.I found Chester's last relegation quite funny.
On to less tedious matters.....
Here’s an update from the Sutton board about some of our plans going forward. Including the 3G

You will doubtless have read all about the recent discussions that have taken place between the National League, the DCMS and Sport England regarding how the rest of this season will play out and the associated financial implications. Government confirmed that it had never indicated that...www.suttonunited.net
we got to see 3 games this season so far - well the lucky ones didThought ground grading issues (not pitch) need to be resolved at a certain date and not after the season, unless things have change. If you guys make it hopefully you’ll get to see it unlike Barrow.

Nope. You're not...that we are seen as a relatively big club at NL level,

I think we’re planning long term - everything will need to be approved as quickly as possible, plus there are the logistics in trying to more than double our current seating capacity before the end of 2021/22 season.
Not to any extent from what I’ve seen. They just seem to be a well-run club who have made sensible decisions over a long period of time.To what extent are Sutton United bankrolled?
Seems like a lot of expensive work in the pipeline.
Not having a dig, just curious!
Obviously we are not an EFL sized club but we are the only non-league club (as in a club which was not in the Football League in 1986) who have never played below this league since it was created in 1979.Nope. You're not.
Is there an option to groundshare with anyone? A new pitch, installing a new 3G at a different location plus all the other measures to bring the ground up to standard, is likely to take a little while to sort out.

Can't argue with that to be honest, we were a disgrace that day.I felt really good when Torquay got relegated, it was karma for their disgraceful preparation and performance at Guiseley on the last day of 2015/16 season, which handed 3 gift wrapped points to the home team and sent us down, while we were battling a Macclesfield team who were rightfully determined to uphold their duty to al the other teams involved in the relegation fight.
I didn’t know that the malign influence of Guiseley stretched that far back! Can't argue with that to be honest, we were a disgrace that day.
I’m losing track of who is arguing with who on here now. The Halifax fans seems to have started a trend. Wealdstone v Barnet now is it. Why can’t we go back to us having a good side and Wrexham moaning about how shite they were
