what is CV Leisure? The thing that has changed on those accounts is the tangible assets, they've just been taken off the accounts. Not knowing enough about the Yeovil owner or his company/companies, he could have just transferred a tangible asset, eg some buildings, or a shit load of cash, to another company, or him personally.
The company would then have to re-submit accounts.
The original profit was only because of the 'tangible assets' so the actual turnover of the company was always a loss.
CV Leisure is the company Priestnall set up to control the football club when he bought it. There *could* be a perfectly reasonable explanation for all the movements, particularly as a takeover could be imminent, however given his past record it's not unreasonable to jump to less positive conclusions.

Who owns Huish Park? The only worry with those accounts would be if the £4M-£5M is football club property, like the stadium and he's just transferred it to another company or himself.

Drakeford due to discuss sporting events today so I'd imagine our games will be at a reduced capacity or behind closed doors

After boxing day we don't have a home game until 25th January. You would hope this wave would have come down drastically by then.

It would be a shitter if the boxing day game doesn't go ahead with fans given we've sold out the home ends.

Our match with Borehamwood tomorrow has been postponed.
Grimsby fans, I can see potential in our game on Tuesday 25th January being moved forward to the 8th January. With Boreham Wood winning against St. Albans, we will both be without a league game between the 2nd (3rd for you) and 22nd January so it does make sense to move it.
Hopefully they sort it out soon if so as I'm gonna try and get to that.

If there is a 2 week circuit breaker after Christmas then it will be nearly 3 months between 3pm Fixtures in the league for us. Not good

sad to read this about Coddington, he was good for us in his loan spells and to retire at 26 for a footballer is a very hard decision

Yeah what a shame. It would be sad anyway but when he came to us on loan he looked like a lad with a bright future in the game.

Just goes to show you should never move to Chesterfield. :fish:

Don’t really know enough about it other than to say that thread confirms our owners have a bob or two, and I imagine every club (barring Chessie of course) made huge losses during 20/21 thanks to Covid, with the entire season BCD until May 22.

Actually a few clubs made a profit in the EFL from accounts this Twitter has shown, not sure on NL. Ours not published yet but our new owners says it looks like the previous regime were good with the money that we look like we will make a small profit.

So good with money that we didn't spend anything and got relegated because of it of course!

We may not have signed high profile players like Mullin and Tshimanga but we run a decent sized squad, paid £60,000 for Wootton, regularly do overnight trips for away games, carry a set piece coach and it all adds up.
The previous two owners made massive losses too, Notts County are an absolute money pit, always have been.

I'd be more concerned about the £22m of debt you've got round your neck like a noose - which I assume will have interest and be need t be paid back at some point.

Even at our lowest ebb our debts were only around half that. Don't underestimate how much of a elephant in the room that is, especially at this level. I'm not saying they do, but they will at some point, but if your owners ever want to sell up and move on it makes you almost impossible to sell given any new owners will either have to settle the debts or take them on so they'd be on a hiding to nothing from day 1. It's what stopped us from being sold for years from when Allen put us up for sale to when we actually were sold because of the size of the debt alongside his valuation made us a pretty unattractive asset despite the facilities and potential size of the club at this level/League 2.

Our game away at Stockport rearranged for Tuesday 8th Feb. Shame it's a Tuesday night, would have been a popular one that. Less so on a Tuesday night in Feb I bet.

Think it'll still be a well attended game. I don't think either club had a choice but stick it on a Tuesday Night really, can't see many weekends being free and we've still got to come to your place yet.

I wish it was this Saturday as it would have been a cracker but I suspect you lot aren't too disappointed to be going to Stamford Bridge instead.

The beer is better and cheaper around Edgeley Park though, I can promise you that.

Not too bad for those based in town but really shit for us exiles. I’d have done a Manchester weekender.

Our game at home to Notts County has been rearranged for Tuesday 1st March.

As a result of that, we now have 5 home games on the bounce at a pretty crucial stage of the season:

19th Feb - Solihull Moors
22nd Feb - Wrexham
26th Feb - Yeovil
1st Mar - Notts County
5th Mar - Southend

Bit crap that both Wrexham and Notts are Tuesday nighters mind, bet the plod are pleased with that
