I once encountered a guy in a wheelchair at Dover who said he was the club doctor. I wish I'd never engaged with him as he was an unpleasant man and left me feeling a like a leper.

I feel like there is a very private and disturbing story here...

Whenever I've passed through Dover going to the port I've always thought it looked like a singularly depressing place. Like Holyhead but possibly even worse, if that is possible.

Must be something to do with port towns.

Forgot to say, the ref stopped the game after about 5 minutes this afternoon because Yakubu wasn't wearing his captains armband...

He's morphing into Burr (McCarthy). We picked up most of our points when Sam Hughes was playing Centre Half. He's no right back.
Certainly felt like it today. We've strayed away from the setup that has served us so well this season. Chopping and changing players and systems with players out of position too much now.

Nothing worse than a Non League manager thinking he's cracked it after a handful of decent results and starts thinking he's a little bit too good AND clever. I listened to his interviews today, he sounds like someone you'd meet on a work training seminar.

Listened to the Boreham Wood manager's post-match which I thought was a fair assessment. They had created maybe the better chances up until KMB and Bugeil came on and could well have nicked it. All the more pleasing Cooper could change it up for the win. Maybe two up front at home more regularly now.

Tough one to take, perhaps more so after having no expectations before hand, and thought we deserved something. Had a few decisions gone our way we would have done. Soft penalty after Rhead dived, fortunately justice was done and Poke saved it. we've been bullied by him twice this season now. I did think his antics today, though, were embarrassing.

No idea why Ugwu's second equaliser was ruled out. Samuel Allison, who was the referee for the whole Braintree back pass incident with us earlier in the season, was typically diabolical again.

Today was a big eye opener as to just quite how terrible this division is. Not one stand-out, impressive side in it, yet the spending gets more and more.

Love Garry Hill's interview, legend. Always honest. He didn't like what the good AND clever Cowley did, and said so. Better than the generic, boring, 'control the controllables' stuff all the other managers come out with in this division.

Ugwu is too good for Woking.

AND clever?

They played this kinda weird narrow 4-1-2-3 with the ball and 5-1-1-3 without it.

It was 3-5-2 with and 5-3-2 without. Narrow midfield, obviously, with wing-backs providing the width.

We did just enough to win and nothing more really, as we were far from our best today.
Nice to see Rheady back on it today his 2nd was sublime.
3 new face today Knott got better as it went on playing a part in the 2nd and 3rd, Ginnelly was lively when he came on and his deflected shot went in for the second. Southwell o dear not so good poor penalty and looked off the pace before being subbed.
We finally beat Woking at home yeah!!!

Oh you're back. Where have you been last couple of months when you've been shit?

Very much architects of our own downfall, if you can't win when leading and the oppo are down to 10, then 9 men, you deserve fuck all.

Funny side Barrow, for an hour when hoofing they were awful, like a poor Sunday pub team. Then Cox brings on a couple of footballers and we couldn't get near them. Why Cox doen't play like that all the time I have no idea, because when Barrow did they looked a very good side.

As for the sendings off, Barrow could conceiveably finished with 8, Harvey should have gone for an over the ball tackle on Kellerman moments before the first sending off, which was fully justified as the Barrow lad just booted our bloke trying to take a quick throw when already on a yellow. Anderton, who's first yellow could also have easily been a straight red then pulled our lad back when he was away so had to go too. No idea why Cox thinks these were 'ridiculous'.

In the words of your captain, who apparently got 'booted' - "I don't know what he was sent off for".

I was sat opposite where you were and both given for the same your player climbing all over ours.
We were poor today, poorest we've been in a good while you looked decent at times going forward but terrible at the back.

Yeah I'll take that point. Certainly better for us than for York, though we really need wins since we're aren't getting any in the run-in.

Bitter Garry Hill not happy with Danny Cowley

I'm sad for Woking that their manager has made such a disappointing statement - they're a good little club at this level. I hope the look that he shot Rhead whilst he was walking past was more focused on how he can improve his team towards our standard, because they fought very well today, without deserving anything.

Thought Southport gave a decent account of themselves today but we never really went through the gears. Never looked like a penalty for them but I was up the other end. Fantastic free kick from JMD for the equaliser and our third was a fantastic strike from Fejiri.

Decent day out friendly stewards but blimey it was freezing behind that goal.

Bookies are mad having that price for us 5 wins on the bounce now and 16 goals for and three against hitting form at the right time and no surprise almost everyone is fit bar two midfielders and a left back who would all start.

Pretty classless, though. You've hit rock bottom when your only comeback is taking the piss out of an opposition manager's nose.

This new CrazyImp persona in being moderately respectful and reserved is just weird and unnerving. I predict it won't last. Start being BRASH and insult some people again FFS.

Talking to your kitman afterwards apparently he kicked Buckley, that's what the ref saw and sent him off for. Didn't see though if it was a second yellow or a straight red. Thought he was poor and lost the game after Harvey's challenge, he knew he'd made a mistake and was looking to send one of yours off. He's a terrible ref, he's reffed us 8 times in the last two seasons, and sent 8 off in those games.

As I say, I haven't seen any of it - but if your player who was involved didn't know what the red was for, then Cox can be forgiven for not knowing what the red was for.
I also don't doubt that the ref was terrible. I'd say for every decent ref I've seen this season, I've seen two or three bad ones, and two or three absolutely abysmal ones.
But taking every viewpoint into account, the most rational verdict on the day came from your manager, who said that Aldershot weren't good at all in the second-half, and that's what cost them victory.

Have any of Aldershot's draws or defeats this season not been the ref's fault?

He’s definitely tried to be a bit too clever. He’s been experimenting in the last few weeks as he’s had the security to do so. We’ve played quite well in the last two weeks, probably deserved at least four points if not six out of Dover and Dagenham but we’ve been more open than usual and got beat.

Go back to our usual setup and we’re fine which I expect he’ll do now. Just bloody annoying to toss that away today.

Us drawing yesterday was not the referees fault, he rightfully sent 2 Barrow players off. It was our fault we drew because we failed to do the basic thing of keep the ball against 9 men

As for not knowing what the first red was for, watch this video 3 minutes in

I hope that comment was made tongue in cheek. If it is a serious comment you really need to go to Specsavers lad and take that f**king joke of a ref with you. The guy was a disgrace. Can you honestly hand on heart tell me that the out and out assault on Tollitt when it was 2-1 was not one of the clearest penalty shouts you have ever seen?
Come off it, it was a blatant dive.

Surely he's sent the wrong player off for the 1st one, it's number 2 who kicks out at your player but 7 gets sent off. All good news for us anyway seeing as we play Barrow next and they'll have half their team suspended!

Having seen the highlights now, and I'm sure Cox would say the same, yeah, definite red card (it was 2 that went, not 7 as the post above says). Anderton's wasn't though - if that was a yellow, no players would finish a match. Though if it was for persistent fouling, then fair enough.

Hannah's free-kick is probably the best I've seen from a Barrow player - the still photo shows that no keeper would have got near it.

And Danny Cowleys parents.
He apparently had a bit of a pop at Radio Lincs because Thommo, who Hill apparently knows well, tried to ask him what he was so upset about and he kicked off.

That Hill interview is just the incoherent rantings of an angry, lunatic potato. What an embarrassment...
