Just one win of the 7 needed but great for the GD that. Wish I could get carried away but this is Pools after all.

It’s amazing that Notts look in genuine danger of missing out on the playoffs entirely.

I don’t think Ardley was doing a great job but they should have either got rid of him earlier or kept him till the end of the season. The timing was weird.

We're genuinely poor and have been most games this season. Ardley did well to keep us as competitive as we were.
We lost three of our top strikers this season and Ardley was 1 nilling us into the playoffs at least with a poorer team than last season. We were also on course for the FA trophy which beats a kick in the teeth.

This new bloke is out of his depth.

Another shocking start. Just allowed them to get into the game

We have gone to utter crap. Suddenly can’t defend and no intensity about us. Playoff hopes quickly dying down now

2-0 down. We are a pathetic football club sometimes

We are a shambles at the back. Very fortunate to have clawed our way level. We desperately need to bring Green on for the ineffective Woods to help Summerfield and help us defensively more than anything.
Losing? It must be because we're crap! No credit at all to a blistering start by the other team! Then we're "lucky" to be level despite first creating a whole host of chances?

Absolutely pathetic comments from both of yous! Very little understanding of the game at all. :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl:

Hes not allowed to play, the insurance on his legs is too expensive.
He's out for the whole season. I've never said he's the best player in the league but I do feel for him, they still haven't got to the bottom of why he keeps breaking down, very worrying for his career.

Three defeats in a week, worst run since we were relegated, out the playoffs.
This shower of shit from manager down will relegate us next season without drastic change.

I said this after Tuesday and people was like, don't be silly.

IB will have 2 months to change the side and who would want to play under someone they have never heard of.
Be scouted and bought by a football database.
I just wish I could have been there today!!! Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Well that's a crap result. Not the end of the world, but performances haven't been that bad, but we could really do to win the next

It’s all a bit of a mess, the new manager is completely unsuited to the group of players he’s inherited.

We need a big think in the summer about how we’ve ended up with a squad so unsuited to this division. We’ve got no presence or physicality at all, soon as any team puts any pressure on us we’ve got no idea what to do.

Ardley needed binning just for splurging so much of his budget on Jake Reeves.

If Burch isn't suited to a team sat fourth from top with games in hand what is he suited to?
For me Jake Reeves is the only midfielder at the club I'd keep into next season.

I see Asante’s out for nine months, so he’ll presumably be furloughed next week.

Suppose that's the gamble signing a player like Asante, can clearly score at this level but he's shot to pieces.

I think we were in that position through a combination of luck (as bad as we were today, there’s been numerous games this season where we’ve created fewer chances, conceded more chances to the opposition and won 1-0) and Ardley’s devotion to winning every game 1-0. By all accounts, including his own, Burchnall wants to attack and play on the front foot, but all this has meant is that we still can’t score consistently but are conceding more goals as well.

The best thing he can do now is go pragmatic, revert to the back four NA was playing (although it has to be said the 3-5-2 was a NA invention in an attempt to solve the goalscoring problems), plonk Reeves and Doyle in front of it and try and 1-0 our way into the play-offs. I don’t think he wants to be managing a team with no pace, no energy and which is completely reliant on experience at the back.

Always likely to happen unfortunately, you don't like to see it and hopefully he bounces back from it. Although, it is helpful for those of us scrapping for the play off places.

Why are you so keen to try and start arguments with other fans of your own club?
Such a freak.

Sutton one up at Altrincham.

Wonder if that will twitch a few arses up in Hartlepool?

Challinor practicising trophy lifts. Lets hope it's not all for nothing.

Sutton score our first goal in April. Looking far better in the first 8 minutes then we have in our last 4 games

He’s had plenty of practise. Don’t think I’ve ever mentioned we have 2 stars on our shirts

It'll be interesting to see if you can keep the pressure on mate.

Hartlepool are already re-arranging fixtures so they can play at home last day so they can do the presentations. That itself should be written in the Sutton dressing room every weekend.

Because they're idiots, they talk shit about our club and I'm calling them out on it. Is that alright with you? :ds:

Has anyone ever seen Cal Roberts?

Fifteen minutes making your lot shit themselves a couple of weeks back was it for the past five months, sadly. Long covid has really done him, for now.

Crazy three of the playoff hopefuls have lot critical players for the season in the last few days. Dealt fatal blows to us, Wrexham and Chessie, imo. It’s Hartlepool for the title, and Stockport to triumph in the play offs, surely.

Notts had lost 6 games all season, and have now lost 5 out of 7 since they decided their manager wasnt good enough.... :ds:
