My mate is in Yorkshire for the weekend
Him & his mates took 6.5 hours from London to Leeds on the train yesterday - fools
They carried on to Halifax today for a day out drinking where it’s snowing
Halifax is pretty good for a sesh. Top end of Town centre is basically just a mass of pubs. Also a few good ones lower down near the ground aswell.

Wealdstone sold Lower Mead for £6m. Spent £2m on a ground share with Watford. Spent £800,000 on the Hive, building 2 cow sheds and an empty barn, then their money ran out because the Directors pocketed the remaining £3.2m. After laying derelict for over 10 years,(with Gypsy's on the site) Harrow Council offered it to Barnet knowing about the problems we were having with our own Council about Underhill. Before Wealdstone developed Ruislip Manor FC, TK offered them a ground share but they insisted on having 50% of all revenue raised on site without putting a single penny more in. TK told them to FO. One of the ends(nearest) was sold to Exeter for their new away end, the other end is going alongside one of our training pitches(where the Women play). Wealdstone's gripe is that they haven't got their money back, so still say it is theirs and we stole it.

I bet its that Karl guy
Nah, not me mate, I’m a Shots ST holder, just happen to have envy/ admiration for the set-up and long-term vision at BW. Couple of years, they’ll be gone, and established EFL, albeit with a slowly increasing fan-base, rather like FGR.
We ain’t going no place.

Because some of us go way, way back on here and remember history.

I've been on/off what was the old TFF since probably about 2007 when I was like 15. A daft little twat but I used to get involved in some of the off topic stuff which was dedicated to a gentlemen who used to post on there but sadly passed away called Nik. I remember Lord Football and Posh Cockney, people who knew what the forum was about and ran it well.

They had moderators underneath them in all the sections. Pagnell in the Premier League for example, a random Derby fan called James IIRC.

When the old guard left as the forum was going a bit flat, Pagnell etc stepped into the Admin shoes and treated it like they were head masters, loved dishing out bans etc to everyone, treated it like a full time job, treated members who they didn't agree with like shit (not me, but I saw it and hated it).

As I got to Uni I was long gone from posting on internet forums and heard the forum had basically just shut down a few years later from a fellow County fan who used to post on there. I came back on here later on and signed up and have only really been back to being a frequent poster in the last couple of years, probably since lockdown really.

I've liked it on here in that time, always good banter with fans particularly Wrexham, Notts, Wealdstone. Some great non league posters like Lee Wilson who know their football inside out. It's never been over moderated because people understood context. Chesterfield fans didn't like me simply because I said their team weren't very good. That type of thing just makes me laugh but the problem is, on this other forum, one of those Chesterfield fans (for example) will be a Moderator one day and I guarentee you or I will get banned. Because they'll ban you not for breaking rules, but for a difference of opinion.

I've glanced at the other forum. There's a Newcastle supporter from what I can tell bragging about banning orders etc and how well moderated it is. I think he's even sent a link to his wrap sheet for everyone to look at. It's not for me because I can see history repeating. On here was like talking to your mates in the pub, like the old TFF, the heavily moderated stuff isn't.

And to clarify something to the Grimsby fan who has said I would make unsubstantiated claims or something and never come back. To quote Stewart Lee, I'm really sorry that I have to do this and explain it. But the Excel Spreadsheet didn't exist. It was a joke. I was never going to come and back it up with figures because it was a fictional Excel Spreadsheet. Sorry to have to break that news.
Great post, but that last sentence has devastating me. Was expecting our budget to be on page 2.

I’ve been here since the beginning too, but this place is done, and with a sell out to a company that will try and use it as a cash cow, I don’t see it coming back. With that, I’m out.

I'm not going on the other forum. Took one look and it looked wank. Banter been ripped out already. Can't be arsed with the heavy modding that will go down. People forget the kind of wankers who used to let power to go their heads on the old TFF back in the day thinking it was their full time job. They've already bullied the lad from Halifax off by taking away his username etc who fair enough could be annoying but I always he was just dealt with by kid gloves by everyone on here.

How many users were already using the other forum? And how have the refugee TFFs been received?

Decent results so far today for us. Parky must be on very thin ice now.

Had to laugh as I read your post and then saw it had 2 go outdoor adverts contained in it.

Most of the people on here have moved to the other forum, including the Chesterfield fans. The match thread over there seems to be much more active than it is on here.

Probably just less vocal after they realised they realised they’ve fucked things up

Very low key match at ML, Eastleigh absolute trash after selling everyone with a pulse, Notts perfectly happy just to coast through it with the mad fixture list in mind. Missed enough chances for it to have been 5 or 6 again, mind.

Looks like an interesting Playoff, dare I say better than League 2 and 1!

Stockport County.
We were revitalised by going down to 10 men really. It's not all sunshine and roses for us at the moment. A lot of grinding out but if we keep doing it and other teams don't, we're sound.

Chesterfield. Bottling bastards. I told you the other week. Fucking no chance.

Nice to see another flat track 'bullied'. Can't believe that we won't have a town hall reception for winning a game from 0-0 after going down to 10 men. After all I've heard that even drawing 2-2 after going down to 10 men whilst already being 2-0 up is cause for an open topped bus style celebration in some Derbyshire towns.

Poor again today but dug out 3 points to save Parky's job.
Davies is brilliant at set peices, brilliant finish from the rebound after his free kick hit the bar, got a bit of luck as it probably should of been disallowed as I don't think anybody else touched the ball before he came back to him.
RHJ with what looked like a nice finish to win it, others saying deflection but who cares if it was
