Deserved loss at Sutton, couldn't cope with their high pressing which they maintained throughout most of the game.

A lot of moaning about the pen in the away end, but the ref had already spoken to Pearson a couple of times about wrestling so it was no surprise to see the pen given.

But to me, the red card looked a shocking decision. Summerfield comes in just a bit after their player and his boot lands on top of theirs. Game over from then on, second half was a stroll for Sutton.

We’ve been in control since kick off, entertaining 0-0 pull theother one there’s only been one team in it mate
Yet we had the best chance prior to the pen. To be fair I thought Middleton was absolutely outstanding for yous today. I don't understand why he was wearing a different shirt to the rest of them though- what was the reason?:hail:

Imagine celebrating like you've won the FA cup against a side who had talked themselves into two red cards and without a win in their previous four. Stay classy Hartlepool.

And imagine taking the ball to the corner flags for the last 10 minutes, against 9 men. Impressive.

Never in doubt lad, imagine having 1,200 fans rattling around this rickety shack of a stadium, embarrassing.

Toot toot :woo:
When you've had 8K in your ground twice in less than 4 years come back and we'll talk. :ds:

Absolutely not. A penalty that no-one appealed for and no-ones been able to explain, preceeded by a red card presumably for going ballistic at the ref's utterly baffling decision. Meanwhile Hartlepool's cynical scything down of our players goes unpunished throughout. He was a tosser. The most asked question coming out of the ground was "why do WE never get a c*** like that batting for US?" :dk:

He's not quite Tosser of the Day though- that was the group of Town fans at the top of the stand who seemed to think it was all Fullarton's fault. These twats were the first to get on Aspin and Heath's backs. Get ready to hear the first "Fullarton Out"s well before Christmas......:ffs:

Its hard to say about what led to Browns sending off but he got his first booking after the ref let an absolute shitehouse challenge on Sellers slide. As club captain Brown shouldn't be losing his rag like that but the unpunished challenge was the catalyst. If he has then said/done something to warrant a 2nd then no complaints, and he seemed accepting of the fact whilst walking off. Kosylo has nobody but himself to blame for getting himslef and his gob involved (AGAIN) and the second was one of those challenges you shouldn't give under the refs nose. He seemed pissed to be off but again i don't think he has anybody to blame but himself.

That said the referee failed to book three very hefty challenges from Hartlepool and i don't think he ever really had control of the game and was not helped at all by his poor assistants.

I maintain that up until the pen, despite the possession bias we didn't look under threat whilst looking toothless ourselves. Our midfield is piss poor and not helped by Kosylo having a sub par game even before he recieved his marching orders.

On a disappointing day for his team, Somemightshay has taken the phrase ‘gone outside to clear his head’ a bit too literally

Whatever the weather, we spent almost half the game with nine men and reduced Hartlepool to running the clock down and their fans only piping up to whistle at the ref to blow full-time. May the conditions that led to that never be repeated, but clearly we're hard to play against.

Doing the whole Ole against 9 men. Pathetic fucking monkey murdering fucktards. I started off today thinking I'd be pleased if Hartlepool went up based on the away support. Now i hope they get a taste of how hard it is down here without the parachute payment nipple to suck on and get stuck in the 5th tier wilderness with Wrexham for years.

Oh dear.Enjoy your annual slide into a relegation dogfight

Comfortable for us today, first time we’ve won by 2 goals this season. We weren’t at our best but this team is starting to click, and Adam May looks a cracking signing. Up to 17th and hopefully follow that up with 3 points against Maidstone on Tuesday.
As for Dover - I’d be concerned if I was a Dover fan. A couple of giants with absolutely no ability - had absolutely no end product but also didn’t look interested. Even at 2-0 up we were pressing high up, something they didn’t do once all game. Kinnear must be under a lot of pressure and wouldn’t be surprised if Dover were in the bottom 4 come May.

Yep, stated very early on Dover would be relegated. Could tell when we played them they offered nothing and I said on here they were nothing like their team from last season and would go down. Think they’ll finish bottom as well

Fylde looked a more than decent side and kept the ball moving with intent whereas our movements were more scattergun. We competed well with them until the last 25 minutes when we were hanging on. Still, we would have lost this one a few matches ago.

About time we went top with some of the football we've been playing.

A steely performance today, we was worthy winners I thought. The second goal came from a mistake from the Harrogate keeper after he spilled a cross and it was the buffer we needed, our third goal came on the break after Harrogate started to dominate us a bit at the start of the second half. We could've scored a 4th - Had one harshly chalked off for offside and James Alabi missed a one v one at the death as Harrogate went a bit too gung ho.

Harrogate created virtually all their chances from set plays, they had one off the line and Dean Brill did pull off 3 good saves, they were a bit unlucky not to get at least one on the day, but we was very clinical and in open play they rarely threatened us I thought. We have a certain way of playing on these 3G pitches - no playing out from the back at all, only in the final third did we play it on the floor.

Harrogate I think will be there or thereabouts, alot of people won't enjoy playing against them, especially on their own patch. Very Direct, but their backline look vulnerable to pace.

A bit of an odd feel to the game what with it being unsegregated, but virtually all of our fans down the one side of the pitch. Apparently a few punches thrown at half time in their bar.

Going forward they've got to segregate games against the bigger sides in this league, we like all the other big sides in this league do have our idiots.

From what I can ascertain they don’t usually play like that at all. Had an injury which necessitated that immobile lump Mark Beck playing and forcing them to go long.

See you at Braintree on Tuesday?
