From what I can ascertain they don’t usually play like that at all. Had an injury which necessitated that immobile lump Mark Beck playing and forcing them to go long.

See you at Braintree on Tuesday?
Indeed you will, I am going straight from work and will hopefully be in the ground by 6.40 innit.

Got them at around 6's, can't remember exactly, so I'm covered should that one happen, too!

I don't see any way they don't, which is actually so annoying. In a normal season I'd fancy us to edge Fylde who I think will be massive competition...

I am kinda gutted I'm missing Braintree, normally would be right on that, but doing a whole get fit thing which means I have 5s this Tuesday. Don't see anything but an Orient win.

This debate on who were the dirtiest out of Halifax and Hartlepool could do with an independent neutral view to decide once and for all in my opinion.
I nominate ChrisFGR.

But to me, the red card looked a shocking decision. Summerfield comes in just a bit after their player and his boot lands on top of theirs. Game over from then on, second half was a stroll for Sutton.
It said on Sky Sports News that Summerfield’s red was for foul and abusive language.

Another one goal defeat sees us drop back down into the bottom three. That was a chance to get three points against a fellow struggler but we could finish a dinner first half. Couple of tough games now with Solihull Away Tuesday and Ebbsfleet Home Saturday, could be looking desperate again come a weeks time.

Intent on joining the sleeping giants of Stockport and York in the Conny North then and little old Alfreton it seems.
We’d be bust before that ever happens

About as neutral as today's referee was. :dis:

Halifax are a club that fits in well at this level, never been a 'brotherhood club'.
I am the founder and President of The Brotherhood and I make the rules. The Brotherhood comprises clubs in the Football League in 1986, reformed, refounded, turned upside down and on their heads or whatever. No new members will ever be admitted, no member may leave. Membership is non-renewable and will expire when the Earth stops turning and falls into the sun. Sorry. :fing:

Apart from Gateshead & Harrogate, there's not many northern games in this league. For them games we come out in our numbers (yesterday would've been much more if not for a train strike), have a drink, bit of craic and just enjoy the fact that we actually exist and have a decent side. It's not a vintage Pools side by any stretch but they fight and graft and each and every one of them would sever their knackers off every week for 3 points. It's been a while since we've had a squad like that and we're all enjoying following Pools for the first time in a long while. Yes we're only beating tinpot sides, granted, but it is what it is and you have to enjoy it while you can.

We'd of beat Halifax yesterday even if they had 11 on the pitch, it was only a matter of time before we scored, slightly worried as it was starting to look like a a typical Pools performance, all the possession, plenty of shots on goal and nothing to show for it, the ref certainly made it easier for us, the highlights don't show the second red, first one was a stamp on one of our players I've since heard and I suppose you could debate the second but you've gotta be a bit thick to first get booked for mouthing off and then go in for the challenge like he did when already booked.

Can't describe how good Liam Noble is though, he has no right to be playing in non league, he breezes through every game making it look so easy, he is the narky shithouse we've needed for about a decade, a player everyone hates until he's on your team.

You can only beat whats in front of you, real test on Tuesday against Salford, then some big away trips coming up, I don't see us pushing for the top places, but I can certainly see this team hitting the playoff spots this season.

Please don't turn yourselves around before we've played you next month, we need this. :woot:
The people running our club couldn't turn a car around, nevermind a club in free fall. There's just no light at the end of the tunnel. There is nothing this team does well.

Expected a tough physical game at the Rec yesterday, but Dovers giants were just big pussies, lumbering forward for dead-ball opportunities. They are a truly awful side, technically the most deficient that I have seen since the Ryman league. Shots gaining in confidence, but surely Maidstone will be a sterner test on Tuesday. Mid-table beckons, yawn.

Noble will end up being an FL/NL yo-yo player, I think.

Good in the NL, not so much in the FL.

Well, you sort of did describe it.

I'm sure I congratulated Hartlepool at the time as he is probably the best player in the division. Others were very sceptical of the signing as I recall.

Yesterday’s hammering has been coming for a while. It could have been against Barnet but they didn’t take their chances. Couple of flattering late come backs at Wrexham & Maidenhead papered over the cracks.
So far this season, we’ve got what we deserve because we are an absolute mess.
Yesterday we played a CB up front and a striker wide in midfield, the striker who happens to be our top scorer. Our best ball playing midfielder, Goddard was on the bench again and another midfielder was the latest ‘give him a go’ right back option.
We just can’t afford to be so disorganised postionally and tactically, why on earth we’ve decided that this season we’ll play it long 80% of the time is beyond me.
We haven’t replaced certain players and that was always going to have an impact but not as bad as we’re currently showing.
We have enough to win a relegation scrap but to do that the attitudes have to be correct and we have to give ourselves a chance. I see no signs of that currently and unless that changes we’re in serious trouble.

As we did when you signed Franks and Deverdics. That’s just what brothers do.

Your opening statement is pure conjecture. Yesterday's game was very similar to the Orient game, and in fact most of our home games so far. Orient were a far better side than you and only scrambled a point in stoppage time. Our team is happy to sit back, soak it up and hit you on the break, which is exactly what we were doing yesterday until the ref decided to put a Hartlepool shirt on.

You pay £340 for a season ticket to watch away teams batter you, have all the ball, pepper your goal and call it a game plan, talk about entertainment, I'd be gutted to watch that at home every other week!

The ref helped us massively yesterday, no question, but you were never in it, don't kid yourself.

We have a sibling rivalry with all of our Brother clubs, but the bonds that bind us are unbreakable.

Proof is in the pudding- Pld 6, Won 4 Drawn 1. Apart from your free shot from the penalty spot against 10 men, the score against 11 men was 0-0 over 55 minutes and 1-1 against 9 over 35 minutes. You ain't all that great, don't kid yourself. :ds:

Yesterday was the first time I've left an away match early, we played terribly. Even Pearson had a mare as he was at fault for 2 of their goals, and when he isn't playing well, we're in trouble.

Can't remember a game last season where we looked that poor, I just hope we pick ourselves up from this now and do something at Harrogate. Teams have bad days at the office.

Salford will win the league
Definitely, it's so nailed on. They'll finish with 110 points or something stupid.

I think we'll find ourselves in an eliminator come the end of the season. Orient will finish in 2nd or 3rd.
