18 goals in our last 6 in all competitions. We're absolutely flying at the moment and having the ability of Sterling, Hemmings and Austin who can strike the ball from anywhere is such a huge advantage. Teams can stop us getting into the box but it doesn't matter when like today a Sterling can score from 30 yards.

Gloucester on Tuesday and I'm feeling a lot more confident about us picking up another 3 points

You should have no trouble on Tuesday providing you don't get today's referee he surely must be on Gloucester's payroll. I think the referee went home on the Gloucester team coach.

I've seen many bad referees in my time but today's was out of the top draw, but this guy was extraordinarily bad. The Gloucester players had him hypnotized, rolling around all over the place it was mortifying to watch.

Added 5 minutes extra time clearly should have been a lot longer over numerous incidents where he lost control of the game, crowd incident, intentional foul, also how on earth he missed the smack in the face on Cassidy you could hear it.

The list is endless of fuckin poor refereeing from this clown.

Anyway on a more positive note we've stretched our unbeaten run to four matches! After today's fightback from the lads..

Still no away win for us. It's now 686 days since we won one with fans in, take covid out and that's still nearly 6 months. Considering the squad we have it's absolutely appalling. Can't recall a worse run in my life.

That said, we were robbed today by an atrocious set of officials.

About time we had a ref give us something considering the dog shit we've had most of this season. These things have a way of evening themselves out anyway.

Another tough one Tuesday for Curzon in our hard run of games but we are holding our own in them so far.

got to start scoring more goals now, we have let in the 2nd least
Number of goals (on paper brackley and Curzon was a certain 0-0) but we have score 5-7 less goals than other top 7 sides and considering we had clumps of goals in couple of early games it suggests an area we need more joy in, although we have had many injuries or covid issues there so cannot get continuity.

gateshead in decent form, best in league currently 5 wins in last 6 so not easy at all.

cannot get to game, sadly I’m not mad enough to just shove my 3 year old in pram and leave him outside until 10pm!

We both created chances, but couldn`t take them. Good saves from both keepers. I wouldn`t make too much of the Nash website report, BTFC had much more territory and probably could have/ should have won it. Impressed with the Nash, decent side and their best at SJP in the five years I`ve been watching Brackley. Our issue is simple - not scoring enough goals. If Lee Ndluvu had an Aaron Williams type poacher alongside him, we would be decent contenders to win it, but suspect it will be the playoff lottery again.

Looking forward to the long trip down to Boston tonight, hoping for a good performance - I’ll take a draw right now.

1 down so far and while not there the updates seem to suggest Gateshead on top.

we've sank back into a defensive counter attack side since the change in management, its a shame as we were doing well as we were.

That's a long way to go to be 2-0 down after 6 mins, and down to 10 men and game over after 12 mins. Doesn't sound like a great night for you...

We are flying! First half was awful and Gloucester were by far the better team, second half was a completely different game. Hemmings with a great strike, Penny picking up his 4th of the season from RB after Morgan-Smith hit the bar. And Sammy Austin is just on amother level. Runs past half the Gloucester defence and rounded the keeper before finishing.

Another 3 goals and that's 8 unbeatan in all comps with 22 scored in that time and only 4 conceded.

Jonno's not even here at the moment, missed these two games the past few days, no word from the club although the rumour is that he's ill.

Absolute disgrace tonight, we just made Guiseley (a team who hadn't scored in 350 minutes) look like Brazil and if it wasn't for Gray in goal we'd have been absolutely hammered. Worst performance since we were relegated in to this league.

Southport 2-0 Alfreton

Alfreton probably edged the game over the first 20 minutes but created little. We went 1-0 up slightly against the run of play through a Connor Woods 20 yarder that Alfreton's keeper got a hand to but couldn't keep out. After that Alfreton went full Heath-ball, managing to create a few goalmouth scrambles but nothing clear cut.

Second half continued to be a niggly affair. Our second came early on, some good wing play from Niall Watson and a pull-back to Woods who's close range shot was partially blocked but bobbled over the line into the corner of the net. Marcus Carver got booked for having the ball kicked at him by their keeper trying to take a very quick free kick, then was substituted when it was obvious Alfreton's defence were trying to goad him into a second yellow. Alfreton then missed their only clear-cut chance of the night, Ceesay dragging wide after a good run. It was a case of game management for us after that, with the last 10 minutes being uneventful.

Not the prettiest of games, but Southport v Alfreton never is! We changed the starting XI and formation from a 5-3-2 to a 4-2-3-1, got the ball wide and ran at Alfreton which I suspect they weren't expecting. Good to see Woods being eased back into things and finding form after injury, Buckley-Ricketts finding some fitness, and more minutes for and a dominant performance from Liam Edwards following 2 years out, marshaling Rhead well. Alfreton far from the worst side I've seen us play this season, we just had the measure of them tonight. Still unbeaten at home in the league, and I suspect we're becoming a side no-one wants to play at the moment.

You're right Swedes we don't want to play you at the moment, unfortunately we've been drawn the short straw on Saturday! Do us a favour rest a few players ;)

We gave some players a relative rest today (by relative rest I mean dropped them to the bench, but still had to bring them on because others were either going to hobble off or be sent off!). You'll probably just face whoever we've got fit!

It’s what football is all about, Boston weren’t anything special.

Barring those mental 1st 10 minutes, I’d say we was the better team. Luck wasn’t on our side today unfortunately - the red card, from where we was, was never a red.

Surprised how quiet Boston were though, poor support backing the team from the home lot.

Go again Saturday

Don't know what is wrong at the moment but it shouldn't be fitness levels with a full time outfit, but we seem to implode in the last 30 minutes of our games. First half we played a good, fast high pressing game with Robert in particular a joy to watch. Him and Dawson were continually beating players and putting in great balls and Kiddy seemed to be a little shell shocked, resorting to long balls which we soaked up continually. Hulbert has been a revelation upfront for us and he scored again with a good finish. We did score a second, but was ruled out for a foul. Couldn't really see the incident.

Second half the roles reversed, we suddenly seemed to switch to long clearances to McClure, who just doesn't look the same player right now. Him and Mensah must surely be under the radar as they just aren't producing the goods for the wages they command. Last 30 minutes especially MM was completely ineffectual and it was from him giving possession away that we conceded a third. Kidderminster meanwhile got the ball down and Sam Austin started running rings round us.

If we can sort out the imploding, we'll quickly rise up the table. If we can't we're in big trouble.

I've supported Chester for 62 years and that performance was down in the worst 10 I've ever seen. I took a lady friend with me last night who hadn't been to a football match since 1968 when she was a student in Liverpool, First thing she asked me was aren't the players in blue supposed to pass the ball to players in blue. I said yes and she said why are they constantly passing the ball to the players in yellow.

We can't sack the managers for financial considerations. The club is run by amateurs . Hopefully we've got enouhgh about us to stay up (only one relegatiion spot this season), but we may see a few sub-1,000 crowds before the end of the season, when the begging bowl will be out again. Neil Turner, reporter, who is a fan, interviewed Morley after the match and asked him about the three players who didn't want to win the match. Morley couldn't really answer him satisfactorally. Our season will be over when we're eliminated from the Trophy on Saturday (they've already given us a footballing lesson this season at home).

Johnson and Morley gone, Livesey in charge for now.

Huge shame it didn't work out but this season has been a shocker.

My mate Terry just texted me after I'd sent an email to one of the directors saying this cannot go on any longer. I am so pleased. I feel I've got my club back. Presumably they will collect their salaries until the end iof the season and because Livesey and Grand/Grey are already on the payroll the cost will be minimal.

But she didn’t really say that though did she?

I mean my missus has zero interest in football but even she knows that the players in the same colours play for the same team and the other colours play for the other team.

I think she was discreetly pointing out that our distribution wasn't very good.

Alan Tarbuck said it was the worst performance he'd ever seen.
