Dover at 12/1 is crazy? They aren't out of the leg yet, being 1-0 up is a advantage, but not a 12/1 advantage!

Can't understand Grimsby. Thought they'd wipe the floor with Braintree. I think they need a complete overhaul, new manager come in with new ideas. Seems to be a very negative mood around their ground.

I suppose when you look at it as a double on Saturday's result and the final it's fair odds. We're 3/1 to win on Saturday, so we'll be a bit higher than that to go through - at 3/1 on Saturday we'd only need to be 11/5 in the final to make it a 12/1 double.

Then you are the only one that did, i suggest you lock yourself up in a padded cell if you really expected us to wipe the floor with them!
I expected us to get a narrow 1 - 0 win yesterday followed by a nervy 0 - 0 at their place to go through, and of course we know how that ended up.

Was there much difference in the performance yesterday to the last 6 games of the season?

Umm, we battled hard but there was just sadly a lack of quality that we needed in the final 3rd, Braintree were just so good defensively that it was very apparent halfway through the second half that we could play all night and still not score.
Our best chance was when a Braintree defender hit a clearance against another defenders back and it fell to Amond around 6 yards out but somehow the keeper saved it, that was when i was resigned to us not getting back into it.
All in all just a bad day at the office, but against a lesser team we might still have sneaked something but i could really see why they have had such a good season, if the final does indeed work out how it looks at the moment like FGR v Braintree it will not be an easy game for you thats for sure.
(Part of me still believes we can turn it around though, always the optimist me)!

I wouldn't mind Braintree going up, they would have earnt it. FGR can go away, They would never be where they are without the $$$ thats been pumped in.

Don't score early and you'll worry! Really nervous/excited at the moment, need a few drinks to steady myself I think

Grimsby will turn it around at Braintree, much better away from home. Will keep it tight for 60 mins then Disley will get one, before a winner in last 10 mins and shut up shop to the end.

Yeah completely agree, I'm in that weird nervous/excited state, it's weird what football actually does to you, you can go through like 4 emotions in one game. How do you think today will go? :)

Hard to say - if we turn up we'll win, need to play better than we have in the last 6 games though.

I know we are more than capable of turning it around. You confident?

I think our players are really up for it today, so I think it might end 1-1 or 2-1 to us just hope we dont sit back and defend as that very rarely works.

How many do you think you'll bring? It's going to be warm so shouldn't need a coat ;)

Feeling the same way, I left the ground very fed up on Thursday but a few days reflection and I feel relatively confident again. I thought Amond was quite excellent on Thursday and was unlucky not to score so if he puts in the same shift I can see him being the difference. We're going to need to be a lot more solid at the back though. I didn't think they had any quality going forward but all it takes is another silly mistake, if we concede first or even at all, I fear we're done. I'm going for a very hard fought 2-0 win.

Not sure - whatever we take we'll get the piss taken out of us on here. Obviously would've got more if we won Saturday but should be a decent number of us.

Perfect day for it - do you know if the bars open in the away end later?

The taxi driver in Stroud works here but lives on the Isle of Wight. That's weird...he was slagging off the FGR players saying some of them are big time charlies

So now Mark Cooper is set to be named FGR manager, how does that suit next season, whichever division you're in?

Hurst favourite for Notts County job apparently, bet he's praying we lose tomorrow so he can snap it up ASAP.
