Let's be fair though. If DV didn't keep appointing useless managers you may have gone up several years ago. Overnight you became a club capable of paying players 3 grand a week. Rare in this league.
Of course, it's not the model I want for the club, but it wasn't magicked up out of nothing either.

I put it to you that the "floating and once a year fans", such as they are in your strange little village, went to the semi final. To pretend there are more out there is delusional, quite frankly. Good luck proving your imaginary friends exist. :fl::£:£:£

I think our core support is now around 1200 - those will go to 75-100% of home games, with about 1000 more than will go to between 25-50%, which takes us up to our average gate for home supporters of around 1500. Then there are those "floating and once a year fans" that took our home gate to 2400 at the weekend. There are supposedly 115k in Stroud District, that were trying to tap into but granted it's tough in a rugby hotbed.

You certainly have the bit between your teeth against smaller clubs B2TF and are on here all the time taking them to task .. what do you do for a living that allows you such focus?

And to think that Halifax turned down Mazher Mahmood offering them financial backing on 3 separate occasions. :bravo:

The fake sheikh was quoted later as saying those Halifax Top lads were the only club in the whole conference and 3 tiers lower to resist my wonga- what heros to a man woman and child. May they progress to The Championship in 3 seasons.

Then I woke up :bg1:

As regular readers will know, I don't have any issues with small clubs, only small clubs who try to buy their way into the greatest league in the world. I don't begrudge any club success that has been EARNED. :£:£:£

Out of interest, how are the sales for the FA Trophy looking?

Bit of a weird one. Halifax on a bit of a low after relegation and Grimsby have a far more important game at the same venue a week earlier. I guess having the FA Vase will help sales slightly.

That's modern day sport I'm afraid. Why don't you start a proper grassroots campaign to introduce financial fair play or a salary cap, use your time wisely instead of banging on incessantly about it on this forum, where no one cares a jot. Or would that be too much hard work?

Far from not having a job, as you insinuate, I multi-task. Now that IS hardwork, although getting a bite out of the Mickey Mousers is shooting fish in a barrel. :bdick:

Nice how all car parks near Wembley on 'event days' charge double or treble their normal rates, fucking robbing twats.

Let me get the violin out....

So you'd rather support a club always in a relegation battle, close to administration and going no where??? So set in your ways.

Football clubs need to grow, when they don't you get AFC Halifax....

Yes, they need to grow, but to get the best flavour they need grow naturally, sustainably. Not be forced, a bit like rhubarb. Surely Swampy knows that? How many of your Jonny Come Latelys are only there out of curiousity, rather than a real love for the football club? And if you don't go up in the next couple of seasons and Vince gets bored with it, how many will hang around when you're back scrapping in midtable? Genuine questions, not a wind up.

Yeah it's a good question. We've grown fairly rapidly over the last few years, but more importantly is the long term work that has been put in with local school swhere we have ambassadors at 30 schools in the district. This is long term work that will take years to come to fruition but now kids bring their families and then hopefully they will come by themselves with their mates over time, etc.. it's certainly not a short term plan and has taken lots of organisation with some good volunteers. Along with the new stadium, plans it certainly shows long term commitment.

I'm sorry for being to young to support the club back then.... Maybe I could of tried to help at the age of 2??? Pathetic... I started supporting FGR when I was 12 being in a family that has no interest in football I think being an fgr supporter for the last 11 years isn't too bad, long before dale so shut up and stop making false accusations.....

And plus who cares when someone starts supporting a football club? We have far more younger fans than we did, going to call them Johnny come lately's??? Any support is good support.
