Gosport Borough 1-1 Wealdstone (Att: 593)

Decent point, but by all accounts this was 2 points dropped. Two penalties within the space of a minute proved to be the only goals, despite both sides hitting the woodwork. Gosport rattled the post in the first half whilst we hit the crossbar twice in the second half.

Couple of injury concerns unfortunately which is a real shame as yesterday was the first time all season where Mr. Bartlett has had a full squad to select from.

We need to freshen up a bit. Still don't think we'll fuck up from here, but you never know. Another striker needed and a keeper!

How many strikers do you need? You've already sent out a few on loan! TBH it's going to take a massive effort for you to mess up the title....

We have Kedwell, Godden and Sheringham. Cook, Haynes and Osborn are more wingers than strikers.

McMahon is hoping to bring in two new faces in over the next couple of weeks apparently. Be interesting to see who. Really would like to see us sign a new keeper. Really not rating Hall this season.

Talking of bringing in new players, Nick Bailey played in a practice match for Sutton against Crystal Palace's academy this morning.

Shilow Tracey to Spurs finally confirmed. Undisclosed fee. Plenty of add ons for us I'd imagine.

Matt Johnson signs an 18 month deal at Margate. Can't say I'm surprised. Always rated him at Stortford and he started off well here, but with a much higher calibre of players coming in, he was fighting a losing battle.

Wealdstone 1-1 Gosport Borough (Att: 506)

Robbed. I don't think I've quite known a game where we should have won by 5 or 6 only to draw. Nathan Ashmore pulling off 2 or 3 incredible saves (as per standard) but there's no doubt about it that he should have walked after clotheslining Jonny Wright off the ball (who injured his shoulder as a result). I can understand the referee missing it as it was off the ball and he'd just given Gosport a FK that never was, but it was completely unforgiveable for the linesman to miss it - it was right in front of him! They cleared one off the line in the first half, free headers going off target and missing more chances when in great positions. We played some really nice stuff tonight and I'm devastated for the players more than anything that they didn't pick up the 3 points they deserved.

As for the goals, Bradley Hudson-Odoi put us 1 up seconds after the restart, ball from the centre circle played to Cadmore, diagonal ball over the top and Bradley finished with his left foot. Gosport's 92nd minute equaliser was a back post header, fault could be apportioned to Sam Howes and/or Jack Smith... gah!

Alex Pike (the utter c**t) lapping it all up as he came off the field, trying to egg on the supporters further. Don't worry pal, your team are shite and were played off the park by us. See you next season.

30 seconds in - how the fuck is that not a red card!?

Few more clips on Stones Goals, including the Pike incident, you can hear a certain someone (definitely not me) say in a polite tone that nobody cares about Gosport.

Got your wish then as you have just signed Aaron Mclean.

Old news mate - signed him last week! Could strike up a brilliant partnership with Kedwell and Godden should we decide to go three up top. I hope so. Takes some of the pressure off Kedwell as lately he seems to have been playing in every position but up top!!

Wouldn't mind seeing us going with a straight 4-3-3 with a midfield three of Rance, Lewis and Kissock/Parkes, but I reckon McMahon will go back to the central midfield diamond (involving all four) that started the season so well.

So.... I think it's fair to say I was wound up last night.

In more positive news, club sponsors GPF Lewis have extended their sponsorship with us until the end of the 2018 season, putting in more money with this extension too. Maybe we can finally get that illustrious 2nd striker with it. Lord knows we need one after the bundle of missed chances last night!

No idea, granted the whistle had gone for a FK but it was a mad rush of blood from Ashmore and the linesman should have seen it. What compounded matters was Jonny Wright had to go off and could be seen clutching his right shoulder as a result of the incident.

RT'd on my Twitter TL last night that Bob Laslett (Margate owner) has put in £2.5 million to the club since being appointed chairman in December 2013. :eyes:

Fair enough, but that is an eye-watering amount of money.

No surprise really when its rumoured they had a wage budget of 20-25k a week last season :eyes:

Hes certainly spent very little of that 2.5 million on the ground

Yeah I saw that. Not sure how much our owner has put in (probably more) but he's spent six figures on the green stuff alone. Our pitch was always in decent condition, but now it's superb. He's also spending nearly five million on our new main stand.

Speaking of Margate, they'll probably sign Sean Shields from us next week to go with Matt Johnson who they signed early this week. Local reporter has said there's a "Gentleman's agreement" in place so that he doesn't play against us this weekend. Absolutely no fucking idea why. I like MJ, but he's hardly a club legend. Anyway, Nikki Bull has come out and said he doesn't believe there's such thing in place but probably won't play him as he doesn't want to upset us.

What a load of horseshit.

When did Jamie Day go to FGR? Only just noticed this now

Where the fuck have you been?

After dismantling our squad and then taking us even further down the table, he was sacked. Now assistant to the best manager in non league.

Sutton 2 (Fitchett, McCallister) Dartford 0 attendance 1075

Massive win for us today. The first 20 minutes were tight, but as the game progressed towards half-time Sutton took control, with Ross Stern a little unlucky not to send us into the break in the lead. Second half we were dominant, with Dan Fitchett scoring a beautifully worked goal before Craig McCallister doubled up.

Special mention to Craig Dundas who made his 400th appearence for Sutton today

With Margate winning at Ebbsfleet, Sutton are 9 points behind the fleet with a game in hand and Ebbsfleet still to visit GGL. It aint over yet

Eastbourne Borough 3-0 Wealdstone (Att: 431)

Just got home after witnessing that shambles. Eastbourne's gameplan was very simple, press and condense the middle of the pitch. With only one natural winger who we didn't get the ball out to anywhere near enough, we were always going to be on the backfoot.

Feeling rather glum at the minute because that was our strongest side and if they play like that then we're heading back to the abyss that is the Ryman.

I'm not worried. Yet.

I didn't go yesterday so won't comment, but ever since we made half a dozen changes down the spine of the side away at Chelmsford in the Cup, we've not been the same side. We've been rotating ever since. We need to go back to basics and get back to what we was doing pre-Chelmsford.

We try to overplay it more often than not. We appear to be struggling to break teams down and we look a little sloppy in defence. It's going to be an interesting final few months.

Basingstoke away next week and a chance to get a good result and start a winning run.

Anyone see the piece about the Margate guy putting £2.5m in to date?

Without knowing too much about what division they've come from, that seems a ridiculous amount.
