Why is their official Twitter feed confirming it in the first place then? :ffs:

Edit: Michael Corcoran sacked by the club. Guess the club had to take due diligence but at least they've come to the right decision, imo.

Exactly. They'll look stupid if he fails to agree terms.

Ah, Corcoran. Now he's a player I was glad to see the back of!

Absolutely delighted with yet another great signing. If we get promoted we should already have a squad that would do well in the national premier. Of course it would still be wise to add a couple of new signings though.

Whereas we've taken goalkeeper James Bransgrove on a month long youth loan from Colchester United. Looks like Northy's injury will keep him sidelined a while longer...

Shame. I like North.

Be interesting to see what formation we play now. Our midfield is full of talent as it is.

Concord Rangers 2-2 Wealdstone (Att: 276)

A point gained after a truly awful first hour where we found ourselves 2-0 down. A Jefferson Louis volley from 6 yards and a Scott Davies FK would level things up for ourselves whilst both teams had chances to grab a winner.

£10 admission price and a decent pint at a fair price were nice bonuses that I wasn't expecting.

Onto Maidstone next Saturday.

Solid enough Got lucky with one of our goals, but never looked like conceding.

Not a nice incident for the pen that led to our 3rd goal

Still dunno how the Basingstoke keeper wasnt sent off for KO'ing Charles Banya.....he was legit knocked out for a good 2-3 mins. Ambulance had to be called an everything...broken nose and severe concussion by the sounds of things

Been playing really well for us as well

I seem to recall Michael Rankine completely KO'ing Clint Easton a few years back. Fractured jaw, broken nose, black eye... not even a foul given!

Won 3-0 at St Albans, with new boy Ryan Burge scoring twice to make it 3 goals in 2 games since joining. Dean Beckwith got our other goal.

12 more wins should do it ;-)

You've still got Maidstone and us, right? Be a good run in.

Fancy the game at your place to be the one that decides it. We'll bring a few hundred if that's the case.

Indeed we do, away at Maidstone on April 5th and at home to you on the 16th (the same day an inconsiderate but dear friend is getting married. Do people not check the fixtures?). Maintain our current form (unbeaten in 15, with 11 wins) and it'll be more than interesting. Saying that we're away at inform Truro (whilst we easily dispatched other inform teams Dartford and Margate they were at GGL) on Easter Saturday. We've also got to go to Gosport on March 19th. Our schedule before the end of season is rather packed. (As things stand we have 3 games in hand over Ebbsfleet). It's going to be tough, but we have our best squad in my time following the club (22 years) so I remain hopeful

Now we've got a decent keeper, I fancy us to lose no more than one more game. It's alright having games in hand, but you have to win them.

Maidenhead away Tuesday will be tough. Unbeaten at home I believe (?) While we are unbeaten away.

Sutton also have to come to the Vale and they always drop points at our gaff (that will change this season mind).

Momentum is important at this stage of the season. Winning is a habit and all that. I can't see us dropping points at home before the end of the season, so maintaining a good away form is vital

We beat Hayes & Yeading 2-0. Not our greatest ever performance, but got the job done. Lewis Carey made one of the best saves I've ever seen near the end of the game. Apart from that and the two goals not much else happened.

Oh it's huge.

Although we've not been playing well recently, we've not been losing. That's a good thing for us. If we can remain unbeaten away from home then I think it's ours.

Two tough away games coming up in Maidenhead and Bath.

But you have been drawing. Lots. Every point matters and all that. Whilst I'm trying to avoid arrogant statements, most likely you'll need to play stupidly well to get anything at GGL. As things stand that's going to be your biggest challenge

It will be a huge test. But there's plenty of points to play for between now and then. I think we've had our blip.

We play much better away from home, so I'm glad our next two are away.

Danny Haynes joins Boreham Wood on loan for the rest of the season. Been disappointing in all honesty.

When are Sutton going to play their games in hand? Four after tonight.

I know one of them will be played second to last weekend of the season as we don't have a game then.

They start on March 21st when we travel to Wealdstone. April 5th we travel to Maidstone and April 11th we host Bishop's Stortford.

5 draws in 7 for Ebbsfleet now after tonight's draw at Maidenhead. Sutton drop to third after Maidstone won at Oxford City, but they've now played a game more than us.

So assuming we match your results and win our games in hand, the 16th could be massive. Great.

Hemel Hempstead Town 1-0 Eastbourne Borough (Att: 263)

Unusually, I was at a National League South game not involving the Stones, attending this game being a last minute decision having already been in Hemel.

Sean Shields' deflected effort right on the strike was all that separated the two sides. Hemel deserved to win as they forced Lewis Carey into a couple of quite superb stops whilst the visitors didn't force Jamie Butler into one save all night.

Stuart Pearce and Dele Alli in attendance tonight. Pearce was there to track Nikolai Todorov and report back to Forest. Alli, who knows... but he offered his obligatory wave.

Can't believe that attendance...I weren't of them who were there neither haha!!

Dunno what's going on there at Whitehawk with there recently results...nonetheless a great win for us (3-1) and takes us up to 14th.

I will be at our game on Saturday vs St.Albans. A win there will see us suddenly look like a mid table side...I dare dream tho!!

Although we're not in the best of form, we're still not losing. If we lose I'll be worried. Until then, Sutton need to win all of their remaining games. 1 or 2 slip ups from either side and it will see the other take control. Think we've got enough about us to get out of this patch and pick up a run of wins.

Childish but I did chuckle at a paragraph in our preview ahead of Saturday's game:

'The game will not be segregated and all fans are free to use the Social club facilities prior to and post match and are asked to follow any instructions/directions provided by the match-day stewards. We also follow the tradition of changing ends at half-time…….'

Who do you play?

Bath away for us. Great away day and I'm bloody working. Oh well, 65+ hours this week is good enough for me.

We need to win.
