Scott Davies has penned a new deal until the end of next season. Delighted with the news, probably the most naturally gifted footballer at the club and also the more technical midfield players we have, the better.

On top of that, we've announced the signings of defender/midfielder Josh Urquhart from Harlow Town and striker Bradley Hudson-Odoi from the Met Police. Go on then Maidstone supporters, any info on the latter?

Matt Paterson off to H&W from Gosport, following Lee Molyneaux. At least they won't have to suffer the A32 any more.

Bricknell just confirmed as leaving. Can't commit to the traveling & wants something more local

So our search for a new forward begins........

Healy is a great signing for Stones, as is Paterson to Havant.

Nothing new from us although we are waiting on our new stand being built due to archaeological shit. Was always going to happen.

Correct. Billy Bricknell I think will end up at St. Albans, I know he's regularly tweeting to Lee Chappell, his business I believe is in Enfield and he lives in Loughton or somewhere within the local vicinity. St. Albans is also shorter to get to compared to ourselves and Hemel and I'm not even sure the latter need another striker now.

Stortford, Chelmsford or Concord could be an option

Saying that i cant see Concord paying much so that might not be an option

I thought Stortford didn't have a pot to piss in? (excuse the phrase)

Chelmsford is a possibility, they flogged Michael Cheek to Braintree for a fee and need a replacement. Concord supporter on Nomads seems to suggest that any rumour of Bricknell joining Concord Island is a dead runner.

I think its safe to say he was earning a good wage at Ebbsfleet & Maidstone

Hey you never know if he really wants stay local, he could accept a lower wage & sign for someone like Enfield

Possibly.

We've this evening announced the signings of midfielder Ryan Hope from Boreham Wood and defender Oliver Duffy from Hanwell Town. Hardly big profile signings, but that's to be expected given financial constraints.

Edit: Turns out the former spent the latter part of last season dual-registered at Harrow Borough where he helped the Scummers in their great escape.

Yes. From Plymouth to H&W. His tenth club. Paterson and Morgan signed up now. Wonder what the future holds for Ben Wright and JJ Hooper? Bigger dug-out may be needed.

We've signed Dale Binns from Sutton. JaredSUFC, what can you tell me?

Fantastic player on his day, probably one of the better players in the conference south. However he spent most of last season injured. If he stays largely injury free you've got a decent signing there

Just seen that Sutton have signed Stuart Fleetwood. A player who usually goes where the money is, which leads me to this question:

Are Sutton United SPLASHING OUT?

Mate, we've been splashing out on a 'big-name' signing every summer for the last 5 years....

Ta for the feedback Jared.

Risky signing given those injury problems then, hopefully this one comes off.

I really hope he does well for (obviously not against us), he's a nice guy as well as decent player

Hendon legend back in the day IIRC, which was where he started his career . At the time they thought he would eventually be signed by a Football League club.

We just signed Simon Johnson from Eastbourne Borough

Know very little about him other then he can play across the midfield & wing back........good signing or not???

He is a very good player when playing in his proper position of CM, he's not as effective if you play him out wide. I personally think a new challenge will do him good, as I felt he'd become a bit stale this season, although to be fair to him we did play him out of position for most of the season. He'll certainly be missed by most of our fans.

So far we have signed Craig Stone from Dover and Nathan Collier from Dartford, while Matt Aldred and Chris Sessegnon have both left club along with Johnson. The rest of the squad from last season have all signed on for this coming season with the exception of Richard Pacquette who I haven't heard anything about yet.

Ooh look, another player dropping the leagues and next to no comments about spending money.

Is it just us who's not allowed?

But he's almost definitely not earning £100k+ to play there! You have to admit that your signings have been more numerous and high-profile than these.

But yes, you're not allowed :bdick:

He's not exactly playing for peanuts and a packet of bacon fries, is he?

Them signings under Day were out of the Blue. We have had that sort of money to spend since June 2013, but didn't spend it. Even now under McMahon our three signings have been two players already at this level plus one who was in non-league for the past few years before making the step up with a promoted side!

Don't get me wrong, I'll be the first to admit we've splashed the cash... but we're not the only ones. Sutton signing Fleetwood and Havant signing Hayter have proved that.
