Warburton not even in betting having weir as assistant wont help. Klopp 66/1 get him in
A club like Sheffield United with such incredible away followings could do better than Jurgen Klopp...

Wouldn't read much into Warburton not even being in the odds, probably just means someone hasn't requested him...the bookies would have probably just forgotten him, they'd be more likely to put him in if they didnt think he'd got a chance to make more money!

Paul Cook at 33/1...some have even got Paul Scholes in ffs. Makes for an amusing read anyway, dont it!?

Would Warburton go for it? Certainly a big enough club.....but wouldn't he get opportunities at Championship clubs soon?
Oh yeah warburton along with David weir for a second shot :-))
Poor decision from the blunts, cup semi final, numerous premiership scalps, sack the manager. Yeah he's boring, yeah the football on offer is unattractive. Rome wasn't built in a day!
A board who are happy to make a proffit from good attendences in lg1. No ambition. Get used to lg1 you will be there for a while longer.

Mr stability goes again then. Standard Clough job of stabilising a club but not being able to lead them to promotion when really he should have done this season - didn't even challenge 2nd/3rd which is a real disappointment but yannow, not massively surprising.

I thought they'd give him next season though. L1 looks very average next year, and even Clough should be able to guide United up had he been given the chance. Then again, he may have crumbled again and you're better off getting someone in who you know can do the business.

Thats all well and good, if we were a premier league team. We're not and we can't beat L1 teams which is what matters.

If the board were happy with stability with L1 then they'd have kept Clough, simples.

How many managers have come and failed and gone...maybe the problem is higher up

And how many of those managers have gone on to better things as manager? none
Robson, Adams, Wilson, Weir, Blackwell, their sackings weren't wrong, their appointments were.

Us appointing poor managers is not a valid excuse to keep the current poor manager.

Steven Pressley anyone.

Wouldn't wish him on my most hated team, perhaps Sunderland I would

One minute ago on skybet:
Darren Ferguson 3/1
Nigel Adkins 7/2
Morgan 6/1
Warnock 8/1
Warburton 8/1

Now:
Phil Parkinson 1/2
Warburton 5/1
Adkins 11/1
Ferguson 18/1
Morgan 25/1
Warnock 25/1

Just to prove how easily these things change. Phil Parkinson, hope not

What's wrong with our Phil

Id be surprised if he jumps ship, but if he does then it probably means this take over is gunna happen and he doesn't want any part in it.

Phil Parkinson massive favourite now out of nowhere, 1/10. Someone thinks they know something by the looks of it.

I think Parkinson's a good manager and as far as I know Bradford played some good football last year. Howcome Sheffield United fans are so against it?

He has a reputation ever since the Presley comments other season, we certainly mix it but it isn't all hoofball like some make out.

Even though Parkinson has done well in recent seasons he still has a reputation for hoofball. Would be interesting to see him at Sheffield Untied who have a lot of small technical players in Murphy, Scougall, Mcnulty. Only player I can think of who would fit the Parkinson stereotype is Higdon and he was awful last year from what I heard.

A lot of Bradford fans also like to complain about the long ball style when results aren't going for you.
