Wouldn't be disappointed if he went to Sheffield United. A decent manager, no more than that. Better options in league one.

Parkinson is a good manager and I don't want him to leave but I do feel he is limited.

His teams are very much about organisation, discipline and hard work. That's not to say they can't play football, but the technical aspects seem to be secondary to those qualities.

Sometimes his team selections and tactics leave me scratching my head and if we are to really push on now is he the man for that...I'm not sure. And that's difficult to say as he has been fantastic for us.

After Clough's squad full of defenders, I'm not sure Parky is the type of manager the board, nor the fans would want to see.

Could Bradford and Sheffield United swap managers? Clough, Bradford fans?

Not sure about a squad full of defenders, we don't have any center-backs hence center-mids and fullbacks filling in there all season...regardless of that Clough was still amazingly defensive though.

Fair enough. Defensive is close enough!

Parkinson is similar to Clough - does well in the Cups and respectable in the leagues. Sheff Utd could do better.

Would be relatively happy if Parkinson leaves. He's been great for the club, but there is an element of doubt with regards to how far he can actually take us.

The football most certainly isn't easy on the eye, but effective. I, for one, am sick of watching it.

Mixed feelings. Sad to see him go, but fresh approach could do us some good.

Always be highly thought of here, can't see how Sheff Utd are making a positive move with this though.

Not sure Parky going to Sheff Utd would be a good idea, he's been good for us but we've been good for him.

His budget is limited here so when he gets a player who he feels can do a job he gets the best out of him, often by playing 'poor' (but effective) football to suit their strengths. City fans moan about it occasionally but he's never in serious danger because he's always exceeded expectation.

At Sheff Utd he would presumably be under massive pressure to get auto promotion and to play football in a certain way. Also he is mostly fookin awful when he's got any sort of money to spend; he would have loads there.

Would be sad to see him go.

Would be a surprising appointment. But I will say, Cotterill came here with a reputation for hoofball, and the reactions on here and twitter are pretty similar to those at the Gate 18 months ago.

Would be a sideways step, I wouldn't see the point in him going.

Sideways? Far bigger club with far bigger potential.

Mark Lawn says no approach for Parkinson. Still, no smoke without fire with those odds. Bookies rarely get it wrong.

Odds drifting now though so looking quite likely it was just the typically volatile manager odds market at its best

Glad to see Clough has gone at last, just hope we get a manager who is not afraid to attack but also can see that we need taller more athletic players in team.

Our squad is slow and seriously lacks in height and strength, needs sorting ! Clough at one point even mentioned it but never sorted it.

Mark Warburton is my choice, did a brilliant job with Brentford and would get us back into championship no doubt.

I think its because he had quite a big budget - most of their fans seem very happy!
Just havent chose the best Managers in recent years. Danny Wilson is a perennial bottler, David Weir wasnt ready and Nigel Clough living off his Dads reputation.
Mark Warburton would work wonders up there IMO and would be a breath of fresh air for them very positive Manager.

No idea why United have only just made this decision, it should have been made after the play off game if they knew they were making a change. I think it's probably the right decision, spending £1.5M on a right back while you're still in League One was a ridiculous idea even if he is the worlds best right back.

Parkinson would be an appointment I can see, this is the type of manager United can attract now, they are an established League One club and will have spent half a decade in the 3rd tier this time next year, talk of Warburton is mental.
