Just havent chose the best Managers in recent years. Danny Wilson is a perennial bottler, David Weir wasnt ready and Nigel Clough living off his Dads reputation.
Mark Warburton would work wonders up there IMO and would be a breath of fresh air for them very positive Manager.

Indeed, the main complaints from our fans is that sacking hasn't done us any favours so far. Our failures being appointing the wrong ones not sacking them though.

He had a massive budget and got nowhere near top2 and playing such dull football. Despite signing over 20 (twenty) new players we still spent the majority of games playing 0 (zero) center-backs. The guys awful and deserved sacking...hopefully this time we get the appointment right.

Parkinson would be a woeful appointment.
Sheff U need a man who can take them up and build upon that and the only man I can see doing that is Mark Warburton

Not sure Parky going to Sheff Utd would be a good idea, he's been good for us but we've been good for him.

His budget is limited here so when he gets a player who he feels can do a job he gets the best out of him, often by playing 'poor' (but effective) football to suit their strengths. City fans moan about it occasionally but he's never in serious danger because he's always exceeded expectation.

At Sheff Utd he would presumably be under massive pressure to get auto promotion and to play football in a certain way. Also he is mostly fookin awful when he's got any sort of money to spend; he would have loads there.

Would be sad to see him go.
Parkinson's would fit nicely, they love the big boot style, they still drool over Bassett FFS.
Imagine coming from Sheffield, who to support..
One Halfs deluded, and the other half ain't got a clue.
They had a taste at don valley, the show continues at New York...

Not sure Warburtons that realistic, maybe more realistic to go for Nigel Adkins. Cant see a PL club taking him on and no Championship clubs either atm so could be realistic and would certainly give us a great chance of going up next season.

No idea why United have only just made this decision, it should have been made after the play off game if they knew they were making a change. I think it's probably the right decision, spending £1.5M on a right back while you're still in League One was a ridiculous idea even if he is the worlds best right back.

Parkinson would be an appointment I can see, this is the type of manager United can attract now, they are an established League One club and will have spent half a decade in the 3rd tier this time next year, talk of Warburton is mental.

Sorry i forgot you appoint worldwide superstars. Glen roeder in by xmas

Best decision Sheffield Utd will ever make. Absolute no chance you would ever get promoted under Clough.

Blades can hopefully start looking forward to some entertaining football, and not signing yet more Derby rejects.

Aye, according to the daily mail. Not that I think we'll get him but I take all paper bullshit with a pinch of salt...just like the mirror saying Karl Robinson is our number one target.

I can't believe what I've just read on a Sheffield United forum. A poster genuinely thinks Roberto Di Matteo (was manager of one of the biggest clubs in Germany and Champions League winner) would join Sheffield United.

Please, tell me the Sheffield United fans on this site aren't that deluded?

Hes a piss taker. When we got relegated our chairman came on the radio and said Di Matteo had applied to be our manager (pre his stint at Chelsea)...we apparently turned him down as he spends too much time on the golf course, think that was the same season he won the champions league. So yeah, its just a piss take alluding to that, we let our neighbours be the deluded ones.

Why on earth would you be reading a sheffield united forum. I find that more pathetic than the moron who posts deluded shite like that.

So you've never read another teams forum? For some reason, I find that hard to believe.

I dont even read our own. This is the only one i read. I could slightly understand doing it if we had just played or about to play you but just find it a bit random and strange that you would be looking at it now.

I occasionally have a gander at Blackpool's when I need a bit of cheering up but other than that I only go on here

I've seen that Warburton has turned the job down. No surprise, he can get a better job in the Championship. I'm surprised QPR didn't go in for him before appointing Ramsay.

Think i read in Metro today that Warnock does not want job and would only join as director of football and has suggested Chris Morgan for job :ffs:, wouldn't want Warnock as director of football if he is going to suggest crap like that.

It was the Metro though, masters of writing bullshit.

Heard and read a few people saying its Robinson or Adkins to be confirmed by Thursday, including people who called Clough possibly being sacked on Sunday. Cant see it being Robinson and tbh I think id prefer Adkins, IF rumours are true.
