Fact is someone is going to die soon enough anyway - Execution or not. We have to save members ourselves though otherwise the wolves will run rings around us and they will prevail.

In truth, it may be a bit early. And there's unlikely to be a majority at this stage anyway. Those are wise words mayor, and I'm maybe being somewhat hasty. But, simply put: I don't trust all this talk of crystal balls, I don't have much faith in this seer. I am an academic, one of very few people in this land to have graduated from Cambridge, and I trust in knowledge, in cold hard fact.

There's literally no logic behind voting anything other than no execution here. The stakes are too high, it's too big a risk with little chance of reward. I understand it's frustrating that we don't know much at this early stage, but it's best we do nothing rash.

Hopefully the Tinker has some decent revelations, although it is pretty weird that it has to be half 9. Weird bastard.

We need to maintain our numbers, we have nothing but mere suspicions at the moment :bang:I vote no execution.

Right, so a summary to my intentions.

1) I had been quiet and my reasons were genuine. I hadn't properly read my PM either and discovered I had a power. The power of Gypsy Magic, which in a nutshell is a one time use of the seer's power. I was going to save this but the game was stagnating a touch and I felt like I wanted to try and play a few mind games to get people talking and see if anyone displays any traits etc.

2) So I used my power on TomPNE94 to see if he was a wolf due to his earlier claims. He came back as an innocent. He's not a wolf.

So why did I say he was a wolf? My intentions were to get into the seer's circle of trust and reveal the information I found on Tom. Plus I like the whole strategy side and wanted a piece of it so it was a slightly selfish move as well. There was probably a simpler way of doing it but I didn't want to give away my intentions and I also thought it would mindfuck the wolves a little bit.

3) I also wanted to see the reaction of all the citizens to see if there was any suspicious actions. And there were a couple of things that I want to flag up. Ciderhead in particular is very suspicious. He was the only one to agree with me. It's almost as if he thought: "Well this is a very confusing situation, let's use this to our advantage and look to kill TomPNE94 in the day knowing that he isn't a wolf." He then went a step further a few hours later by actually voting to execute Tom in the thread. 1 minute later, JoeJoeJoe had been able to reflect enough on that to agree with him and type out a post stating so also voting for Tom. It's almost as if they had been having the chat in a Wolf PM and decided simultaneously that they were going to back each other up in this move to make it look like the citizens were getting behind a particular movement. The problem is I was in the thread when that happened and happened literally seconds after each other. There's no way you agreed on that without a prior discussion so I think you may have unintentionally rumbled yourselves.

4) A little bit after Ciderhead then posted about how we need to take decisive action and kill Tom. He also said 'How will the seer let us know?' and really went out of his way to justify this without considering the very simple action of the seer just telling the mayor (who he's already checked out) who can relay information back to us. I smell something wolfy.

5) I imagine I could well be killed tonight to get me out of the game. Or they could prolong me to raise suspicion that it is me who is a wolf. All I can say is you will have to use your judgement. My cards are on the table. If I was a wolf though, I would not be this outspoken this early on in the game. I had a one use power, I used it, there is no need for me to conceal the information. It's now out there, the circle of trust has grown by 2 and we have suspicions on two members who perhaps have slipped up. I'm satisfied with what's come of this.

(And yes, this is completely pretentious)

Who the fuck is this guy?!

2 posts, both in this thread

I was going to vote for SUTSS at first. His actions in this thread have been very suspicious, he's always viewing but he hardly ever posts. Just suspicions at the moment though, no execution.

Nicely explained post Lee, seems rational (assuming it's the truth) and at the moment I'm inclined to believe you are innocent (and that Tom is also by what you've said). Might be leaving yourself open as wolf-bait though?

Well that seems to have cleared up a lot Lee. Although what it has shown is that you are prepared to be very devious so I'm still not 100% convinced you're telling us the full story when it comes to your special ability.

On my part, I didn't trust you, and was looking to try and force your hand and uncover whether you were being truthful or not. Plus I was looking to get involved aftee missing the first couple of days and so maybe got a bit hasty.

As to Joe, I can assure everyone I had no communication with him whatsoever and also found it a tad suspicious how quick he was to jump along after me, but I'm not sure it really tells us anything at this stage.

On what grounds? If he is to be believed then he had a one-off power that he used and now can no longer use. Yes it was a clever mind-game but it was purely as a result of his power.

The villagers gathered round as Last Request stood up to read the results. It had almost been unanimous and there was no doubt in the villagers minds that they would all be going back to their beds tonight.

"The results are as followed...

No Execution 29 votes,

TomPNE1994 2 votes."

And it was settled that there would be no execution tonight. Steady handed round some booze in celebration and the villagers returned to their bed. But would they all be sleeping soundly

It is now night

Stringy and Mr Elmo's sat propped up against the tavern wall. They had continued their drinking long after everyone had gone to bed and long after Steady had kicked them out. They were the first to look round the village. What they saw shocked them.

The village was exactly how it had been left the night before. The wolves had taken nobody.

Great result that we are all still here!

One thing has stuck out for me though. I think it seems likely that the wolves know who the other wolfs are, and are in contact with each other.. It doesn't seem likely that each wolf would opt against killing a villager?
