Halifax have the best away support in this league.
We're usually in the top 8 or 9 at the end of the season, it will pick up when we get away from the deep South- so far we've played at 2 venues over 190 miles away and 3 venues over 200 miles away. Most of the clubs in this league are playing a Southern derby match every week. :bdick:

One thing I will say to my fellow Town fans who disagreed with me in the summer, is that Lenny came on and by all accounts was very poor again. Hanson is fit and has scored two in six for Farsley Celtic in the division below...

Not bad for a fairly rotten Tuesday night.

That was our biggest attendance in Non league. Our biggest league attendance since 2007 and our biggest midweek league game attendance since 1979.

And despite his influence, they’ve not won in 6 games. I know who I’d rather have… ;)
Realistically, either one would have been a bench-warmer this year and I think LJL will move on regardless of division next year.

Either way it's a pretty good turn out on a Tuesday night. Not Grimsby good but I am starting to suspect Grimsby fans don't work so are free to go wherever and whenever they want. Either that or they just desperately want a night away from Cleethorpes so take any opportunity.

Yeah Grimsby's followings aren't normal, clearly summat wrong with them.

A lot of our fans have moved away from Grimsby, and realised it is indeed a shit hole and won't go back except for football. So easier to go to away games.

But we are still intelligent enough to support your local club were you were born and not be a glory fan for some random team.

Scientists call it the ‘Port Vale Effect’.

Haha, it's just the new division factor combined with the takeover and winning 7 out of 10. I think our home crowd increase is here to stay and can be attributed to Fenty being ousted a tad more than the away followings. I suspect the away followings will drop off if we plummet down the table but that isn't exactly rocket science. More of the season ticket holder/GY based contingent will have been there last night and at Stockport, as would the Yorkshire/North West based lot. Whereas the Bromley/Torquay/Maidenhead were boosted by us Southern based lot. Glad I've got my Woking ticket already as I reckon whatever is left is gonna get snapped up over the next few days as we're gonna see more of those Northern based Mariners making that trip down.

Funny that you mention the no jobs thing though as I watched a documentary about how deprived Liverpool was in the 80s and how they couldn't afford to eat properly, but somehow they're flocking down to Wembley in their thousands twice a year. I guess a lot of them jumped the turnstiles and footy was cheaper and that but it goes to show that when a team is flying people will prioritise it over a lot of things. A lot of Town fans pulling sickies or nursing hangovers at work on Wednesdays this season so far I reckon.

I haven't seen us at home for a long time, but have already managed four away games this season. Our exiled supporters are very loyal and often bring friends who are inquisitive and interested in why we are so passionate about our club. I personally have taken over 20 different people to our games and plenty have been a few times, one even becoming a season ticket holder when he worked in North East Lincs for a couple of years.

Club have just announced we were issued 700 standing and 450 in the seats for this. I suspect most of the standing tickets had already gone before last night looking at the Maidenhead/Bromley away numbers.

236 Torquay at Boreham including me who came up. Weatherspoons was excellent beforehand wish we had stayed in there. Still reasonable as down to 2k home crowds
