Should have been a pen for Portsmouth there.

I know we've been shit in the playoffs previously, but we've not even scored a goal this time. Oh well.

It's been absolute dire from both sides in both legs.

Dreadful game really. When Pompey took Hawkins off, they took off literally their only threat in the game and the player they had clearly built their whole game plan on. Think Jackett should have given Pitman the hook, looked frustrated all game and ive seen glaciers move quicker than he is. Hawkins and Vaughan gives Sunderland something else to think of.

Sunderland did well in just making it a horrible game, break up and frustrate which is all they needed from the game really.

This has been a terrible advert for League 1. Unless they freeze on the big stage Charlton should blow this poor Sunderland team away in the final.

Well there you have it. Can't really complain. Didn't play enough good football. It's the classic case of chasing hard for an auto and then running out of steam in the playoffs.

Scoring for fun a few weeks back. Unable to find a single goal when needed.

Will Charlton break the play-off mould and become a home side in the 2nd leg that wins?

Mind you they probably are the most in form side of those who were 3rd (4th in League Two) and 4th (5th in League Two)

Few of the others weren't like Leeds/Mansfield.

Wow that was awful. Dominated the game but just couldn’t create or score. The ref was shite and their time wasting was horrendous. Keeper didn’t get booked until 75th minute!

Dreadful game and no complaints about losing over two legs. I'm just extremely disappointed that we didn't even give it a go and performed so badly in front of our own fans on the night.

It's progress from last season but still leaves a hugely bitter taste in the mouth that we've fucked this up when we were five points clear at the top in January and failed to strengthen.

Sunderland looked so comfy with 20 odd to go, there was no shit or bust assault from Pompey.

Did that bloke get lifted?

Sunderland drawing their way to the final in typical style.

The state of some of them Pompey fans. Too much sea air must be rusting their brains.

Is that the ‘style’ you’ve been playing to get into the POs? Never seen so much hoofball - even in L2.

Sunderland you perhaps can understand given where they were squad wise before Ross took over, if what Sky said was right

Ross will be gone either way. Don’t go up he’ll be gone, and if they go up he won’t last long there.

God that was shit, both looked shit against us(despite beating us every time though Sunderland should have been both draws) 3 out of the 4 games except when Pompey smacked us for 5 when we had no manager and we were dreadful. Not only does it show just how crap our team is to end bottom of a division where they are two of the top teams, but it shows the gap between the championship and league 1 is widening year on year, but what can you expect with all the money that's getting plowed in at that level now.

Charlton should piss it, but I can see Sunderland shit housing them, and I hope they do as we get more money for Wyke if they get promoted.

It’s yours to lose, I’m expecting you to beat us so very laid back about tonight. Given we were one of the favourites for relegation this season it’s been better than expected. You are also the best side that I’ve seen us play this season so no complaints, enjoy shitting yourself until the final whistle
