Sunderland did what they had to do, I was waiting for the kitchen sink to be thrown at them from Portsmouth but it never came, you'd have never thought it was a play off game, so comfortable. Think Charlton will see Doncaster off comfortably, Derby have used up the big play off shock of the week.

On a purely selfish angle, I hope Derby go up. We sold Jayden Bogle to them from our academy and have a clause regarding fees due as his career progresses.

Either that, or some PL club buys him for big bucks.

It’s shit being a bottom feeder.

Maguire got our keeper sent off when he was at Oxford. Fuckwit.

No, your keeper got himself sent off. Maguire wound him up like a coil and Vigeroux reacted. There was only one fuckwit involved and it was the wanker in the pink goalkeeping kit.

Seven in a row................

When Oxford had Maguire and Danny Hylton in the same side they must have been a lower league version of Real Madrid when it came to shithousery!

We were, other teams hated us.

But we were also fucking good at playing football, which seemed to upset some of them even more.

I'd love Maguire back at Oxford, he was worth the admission money on his own when he was in full shithouse mode!

The type of player you hate when he plays against you but when he's shushing the oppo fans after netting in the last minute of a local game, or setting up an equaliser in stoppage time at Rotherham and you then win it.

He's a c**t but he's your c**t

What’s that? Your Winding Up Orders?

Even though it’s you - the club, I mean - I do sympathise how you’re getting screwed by your owner (whoever that is exactly) and old Uncle Firoz.

It won’t end well, will it.

So has Omar Bogle bungled his way to 25 goals?

That's what you'd like to think.

There's been a lot of financial shit to sort out from the previous owner, and it's been a tough year getting it sorted. But we now have three billionaires on our board and our future is looking up. New training ground built and extensive investment in our academy, youth and Under 23 set up, together with substantial investment in the first team squad, is hardly the actions of someone here to make a quick buck. Add to that a lot of work behind the scenes to free us completely from Kassam and his stadium, and I'd say we're potentially in our healthiest position for over 20 years.

PS: While we're talking financial matters, remind me, how many times have you been in administration and/or fined/demoted for financial irregularities and cheating?

God I’m gutted. Not only did we have two generally horrendous, knackered and downright naive performances, the state of some of our fans is just embarrassing. On a night in which we could and should have generated a huge atmosphere, we instead got that moron kicking O’Nien (and half the people around egging him on), not to mention multiple fans around me being toxic and hostile in completely the wrong manner for large periods of the game. Just a really demoralising way to end what’s been a great season overall.

It’s such a shame that’ll be the last we see of Clarke and (probably) Lowe as well, but what a few years they’ve both had, it’s been a pleasure to watch them develop.

Fine margins have never been so obvious - Evans’ chance last night, Otabor offside against Peterborough, 3-3 at Southend, missed pen vs Barnsley.. Not to be. We weren’t good enough really, I think where we’ve ended up is exactly where we deserve to be.

It’s yours to lose, I’m expecting you to beat us so very laid back about tonight. Given we were one of the favourites for relegation this season it’s been better than expected. You are also the best side that I’ve seen us play this season so no complaints, enjoy shitting yourself until the final whistle

You underestimate our ability to bollocks things up when it matters.

I’m confident that we are the best team in these play-offs, that’s what makes me all the more nervous.

Nice to see Brett Pitman screaming abuse at a ballboy last night - bet he feels well hard.

‘The plane. The plane’!

Anyway, we’re talking about the here and now. You’re screwed and you know you are. That little Thai fella is a wrong ‘un.

And that’s rich coming from someone whose owner screwed thousands of pensioners. Good old Capn Bob Maxwell.

You really are getting desperate aren't you? Is that the best you've got? The "here and now" is that we're over a whole league above you and looking upwards.

Which reminds me, isn't it time you pissed off back to the pub league section where you belong. This one is for League One clubs, of which your'e not one.

Lots of love coming our way on here. :animatedf:

I think the simple fact was that the players seemed to be on their last legs last night. For Jackett to leave our most dangerous player, Jamal Lowe on the bench spoke volumes. Solomon-Otabor has shown very little to warrant a starting place in our biggest game of the season. Pitman is an out-and-out finisher so always looks like a luxury when he's not on the score sheet. Sunderland did a good job of not letting him have a single chance.

Good luck to Sunderland in the final. That run of Wembley defeats has to end sometime.

As for us, we're likely to lose Matt Clarke at least in the summer, and possibly Thompson and/or Lowe? If we reinvest well then we should come back strong next season.

Mark Yeates did that to me at Layer Road once on my only appearance as a ball boy. I rolled it back into the six-yard box for a goal kick in the last minute instead of to him for a corner  To be fair, I insist it was a blatant goal kick.

David Hodgson gave me loads of abuse when I was a ballboy against Darlington as I was stood right next to the away dugout. At one point in the game, when Darlo were leading 1-0, he screamed at me to give him the ball so he could waste some time even though it was Lincoln's throw-in. This was back in 2004, so I would have only been 13 at the time so I did as he said! Great Lincoln fan I am

We ended up drawing 1-1, a guy called Chris Ward scoring our goal. Can't say I even remember him.

Really noticing the difference in energy between last night and tonight. We really were running on empty for the last few games. Think Sunderland's legs have gone as well tbh.

Its Derby County all over again. The team written off by everyone, myself included are winning... And the tie is level

Pens at the Charlton end for safety reasons? Why? Because it's half Donny/half Charlton?

Surely there's no issue, there's no Pompey fans around there.
