Tbf, you don’t get a winding up order from HMRC for missing one payment.

You must be paying Obika too much.

I think minimum wage would be appropriate remuneration for Obika considering how infrequently he has an impact.

I was under the impression HMRC don't wait around anymore with football clubs after being burned in the past with CVAs etc and Southend using them as an overdraft facility.

Imitating a football club, I heard.

No wonder they have no manager. I know it’s hardly a rare occurrence for football clubs, but all the same, it’s fucking funny.

Classy sentiment, that. And now it turns out it's all sorted and you've decided to double down. Nothing like backing yourself into a corner.

Well, it’s like shooting fish in a barrel at the moment with you lot.

I must admit that I was dreading you doing well this season, as you had a decent one before. Just good to see it all going to shit.

Well, it’s like shooting fish in a barrel at the moment with you lot.

You're in the league below us, haven't beaten us in 17 years, your manager ditched you for Mansfield Town ( ), you've appointed Phil Brown and you still have to play in a shit ground in Swindon.

In comparison, we haven't got a manager and the ground we play in is shit. Your barrel of fish looks empty and you're scrabbling around the L1 forum like you still belong here.

All true. But it still doesn’t stop you from looking like you’re imploding. Big time.

You’ve got one ex owner screwing you with rent, a new owner who appears to be a real slippery fucker who’s already screwed over Reading and nobody knows what his plans are, if he’s actually got any money and, if not, who is behind the scenes.

This HMRC thing could be the tip of the iceberg.

This is absolutely textbook ID.

The HMRC thing has been sorted per the BBC tweet. Whilst the new owner could be terrible, similar questions could be asked of Eales and what he wanted from us. The rent didn't stop us overtaking you and nothing has changed on that front.

Wait for something bad to happen before you take any joy from it. Hoping for the worst just makes you look desperate.

What do you expect? You had your fun when we got relegated - fair enough.

I’m just enjoying what appears to be a perfect storm of shit results, dodgy owner and a badly run club.

Honestly Dan, I thought after two years of continually predicting rosy things for Swindon and bleak outcomes for Oxford, you might be tired of looking silly and have learnt something about the correct time to count your eggs.

Bit surprised to see Swindon outside the lower league play offs, thought your promotion was assured?

I really don’t know where you get this stuff from. Do you just make it up? I double dare you to dig up a post of mine where I predict rosy things for us and Armageddon for you - until now, of course.

In fact, I remember replying to the illustrious Eric Read on this forum that I thought you’d do well this season on the back of a decent one last.

And I’m sure I’m not that crazy to predict great things for our average bunch of cloggers.

Hi Dan. In the interests of improving your posts, I can tell you that you last predicted automatic promotion for Swindon on February 5. You last made a comment about Oxford going backwards and told me not to worry, because Swindon would definitely be back in L1 next season, on January 23.

Fantastically, you also described Tim Sherwood as "quite a coup" for "a club like Swindon".

Please do learn from these.

Karl Robinson 1/6 now.

Surely, the bookies haven’t got it that wrong?

So, in effect, the last couple of months. Not the 2 years you banged on about.

And, tbf, 1 point outside the play offs seems a bit of justified optimism even if it doesn’t pan out.

Dan, you asked for an example. I gave you two. Was Sherwood appointed in the last couple of months? Stop grasping at straws and talk about your new derby with FGR.

Would only be the third of fourth time they have an odds on favourite wrong if so.

Bold move to say you're appointing a manager with the "wow" factor if it's him.

1/6 is usually a pretty sure thing though.

Depends what the “wow” factor is, if it’s “wow, that’s fucking disappointing” then he fits the bill perfectly.

If he’s leaving because of boardroom shenanigans and difficult owners, he’ll be in for a treat at Oxford!

As you will shortly find out, backing a new manager/DoF/Utter Tosspot is de rigeur for fans. You will be no different.

What’s happened to your interminable 3-0 winning predictions?

If I did indeed predict your demise a while ago then I’m a fucking footballing Nostradamus!

Anyway, enough of this gay badinage, I’ll bid you a good weekend.

I thought the Grimsby and Port Vale fans arguing over whether there were 316 or nearer away fans at a recent game was pathetic! ‍♂️

Karl Robinson is hardly a ‘wow’ signing but I reckon he’d be a decent appointment.

Think it’s more likely that he knows he’ll be out on his ear when the new owners take over.

Jumping before being pushed and that tosser Roland will take the compensation money with him.

The thing about interminable predictions is...

I already made a prediction for the game today. It's on another thread but the content might surprise you...

I see. My sincere Apologies as I haven’t yet received my forums rulebook yet.

Also apologies if I want to try and have sensible conversations on a football forum with rival fans. If that’s also against forum rules then shoot me now.

If you are happy to come across as a bit of a pleb on a public forum then knock yourself out.

Get yourself a yellow scarf.

I don’t get this ‘after you Claude’ attitude with your main rivals. Nobody has been abusive, it’s just a general piss take. If you think Oxford fans didn’t get/are getting fun out of our current position you must be in La La Land. It’s nice to give a bit back now and again. It’s just general banter, ffs

The Sun have pronounced Sven-Goran Eriksson as our new manager. I haven't a clue if this is like all the other newspaper pronouncements and wrong or not. Faz seemed fairly certain something was going to happen this week and as Tiger is supposed to be back in the country on Wednesday it will probably happen then (if it happens at all).

I just hope Faz remains part of the set up as does Chrissy Allen.

Weird seeing as Robinson is 1/6 with the bookies. Know which one I’d prefer.

The Robinson thing is I think people putting 2+2 together and getting 5 but could be utterly wrong.

I see Matt Elliott has entered the betting. Surely he’d be a proper disaster.

Hope he gets it!
