Everton kids.

yeah, but the joy of seeing a Danny Rose last minute winner at Carlisle will live in the memory for ages.

that was a good goal - i do remember seeing it, was towards the end to the right of where the away fans normally sit, though i understand in that game the away fans were sat in the stand opposite.

Just looked now and there's actually loads of tickets still unsold for our game vs Newcastle U21 next week.

We're learning quick up here.

Well, we have just beaten 'Chelsea' 4-1 which shows the absolute waste of space these under whatever teams from the prem are. 4 effing 1. :fl:

We drew 2-2 with Man City and our defence must be doing something right because we managed to stop Haaland from scoring.
Ndala was on fire wasn't he? Really really hope we have a sell on there or some form of bonus on apps!

I see they still have that ridiculous rule that EFL teams have to play at least 4 ‘qualifying’ players or they get fined.
Prem teams can play their kids but we get fined if we do the same.
Fucking joke competition.

But on the flip side, people want to go to them games...I've chose not to go to the U21 game but will make an effort for Crewe away, only because we won't probably get a chance at getting one for the away league game in April*

*on the proviso we are pushing for promotion..

I'd completely forgotten we were playing tomorrow. Is it being streamed? Is that frowned upon as well?

I live overseas and have an ifollow season pass. Last season the Pizza cup games were included.

I will probably watch our game v Stevenage tomorrow, I don't really care about the result but I'd like to see how some of our younger players get on, whether some of the players coming back from injury get some minutes, and maybe see a bit more of our recent signings (assuming loans from L1 and L2 are permitted to play??)

Port Vale away, again. Sounds like around 300 Alex fans are going, which is a disappointingly high number.

Need to rest most of the first team, so not sure what sort of team we'll play. Wouldn't be surprised if it went to penalties again.

Yes.
I think we have a game tonight.
Will be a bit pissed off if we break a thousand

We may go slightly stronger than we normally would as we have no weekend game now but at least two of the Internationals are out.

Imagine Leutwiler will start in goal, defence probably be the same as we have injuries so little back up. Expect Loft will debut after signing on Friday to get minutes in but a couple of the kids who played last Tuesday should get a look in again plus Sang.

Probably not be that dissimilar to the side which started last week but with Loft up front and a different keeper and no Devine.

I found this on a betting site regarding the players in this competition

What are the selection rules?

In a bid to keep the tournament competitive, each EFL club is obliged to start at least four outfield first teamers.

A first-team player is defined as someone who starts either of the matches directly before or after the EFL Trophy fixture in question, a player that has started 40 or more senior matches or a player who has started at least the 10th-most matches for the club that season.

Any EFL club that fails to meet this requirement is fined up to £5,000.

Each academy team, meanwhile, must ensure that at least six of the players on their team sheet were aged under 21 on 30 June of each respective season.

They are also allowed to name two players aged over 21 and with 40 or more first-team appearances.

We are playing Charlton tonight. I personally will not be going but I do quite miss being able to watch the back up players getting back run out.

Do red cards from this cup carry suspensions into proper competitions?

Beat Orient 2-1, we did an own goal, they helped us out and had two players sent off and gave us a pen, and then we won.

Magic of the (pizza) cup.

Won 1-0 but yet again we should have scored about 5.

Okonkwo looks like he's going to be fun. A tad erratic and a monster kick.

Also the referee seemed to have decided that he was going to let the Newcastle kids get away with as many fouls as they wanted without showing cards - maybe because they were half the size of our players?

Lost 1-0 at Vale. Played alot of youngsters with a few making there debuts. Were were woeful first half and Vale deservedly lead, but 2 d half we dominated and missed a few sitters. Youngsters Lunt and Agius missed great chances which is a shame as it would have been nice for a youngster like that to score.

Rovers lost again 2-0 at Fleetwood. Debatable penalty and harsh second yellow for the first goal. Nothing to give any hope of a turnaround in fortunes.

Of all the teams sticking 2 fingers up to this abomination of a competition we must be one of the very best, since they changed the format to allow U21 teams in we’ve barely won a game in it.
Lost 2-0 to Barnsley tonight and the only game I can ever remember winning in this was against Mansfield last season, I honestly don’t think we’ve won any group game other than that in the last 4 or 5 seasons.
That could just be because we’re shit of course but I prefer the line that our players are boycotting it.

Nearly 3000 at Vale.includimg 245 Crewe fans abit high from both sets of fans which isn't great considering the abomination this cups turned into. Still a fair way better than the 8000 odd that turned up at Wrexham. Hold your heads in shame.
