Congratulations to the Gas for flying the flag for the West Country, and commiserations to Grimbsy, but thanks to both of you for providing a game that had this neutral glued to the box. Plenty of incident to talk about, the Puddy handball, the Taylor challenge on the Grimsby keeper, both might have had players heading for an early shower. Despite that I thought the game was all the better for keeping the sides with the same number of players. Both teams should take credit for just going for it, at times it was end to end, and it was no surprise that numerous players started to suffer from cramp. The atmosphere sounded great on the telly, sure it was even better in the stadium, look forward to more reports from those who were there. A great advert for the Conference. So, that is it, the season is now finished and I think that the right teams were promoted. Barnet were the best team we played at home, albeit before they went on a bit of a wobble, and the Gas definitely deserved to beat us in the play-offs having played by far the better football in two games. Only seven weeks to wait for the pre-season friendlies. Have a fine summer everyone, regardless of who you support, see you when hostilities resume in August.
