We're looking a bit more fleshed out after yesterday, a few more midfield additions, wide men mostly if Hartley likes to play with wingers, without a doubt we need something else upfront, far from convinced with Carver and Bogle needs to knuckle down again.

I think we need another (experienced) centre half to do a liddle type job and possibly a left back, a centre mid or another winger, definitely need another striker. I'd be in for Danny Johnson, poacher type. So maybe 3 or 4 more needed.

Agree with that, Hartley played a lot of 4141/343 at Cove, Hastie looks like a starter on the left, need a wide man on the right, possibly Stuart McKinstry if sestonpoolie's man on the inside is correct again (100% hit rate so far) another 5-6 players for me, few more permanents and a couple of loans, take us up to a squad of 22-23

Think Danny Johnson would be a great fit here, hopefully he fancies playing back at home.

Paudie O’Connor and Charles Vernam have made their moves to Lincoln. Luke Hendrie has agreed a new deal, but we’re still awaiting news on Elliot Watt. We’re due compensation if he leaves, which I imagine is what the hold up is. If we could somehow secure his services too, it would be another sign of intent - as he won’t come cheap.

The squad is looking full, but Hughes has outlined some players will be leaving. Sam Hornby, Oscar Threlkeld and Fiacre Kelleher being the likely ones.

We still need another CM, RB and ST, for me.

Still a fair bit to do with your squad in terms of recruitment. Bolded players are those I'd expect to be in and around the first team next season.

Deals offered to Brandon Cropper, Danny Amos, Sean Scannell and Olly Battersby which I've heard are all over the line and the club are just drop feeding. John McAtee offered improved terms, less confident on that one.

If all those sign I think we're looking at still needing a keeper to push Crocombe for first spot (Battersby to go out on loan), a left back, another CB, two/three CMs, two/three wingers and a striker.

Think Lacey is the Liddle type, Likes to carry the ball out of defence.
Really well liked by the County fans.

In my eyes this years recruitment is way better than lasts.

Believe Tumilty can play wide right OR Sterry pushed forward(does his best work there)
With Tumilty right back.

Think Watt is definitely gone. Rumblings of him going to Portsmouth over on that BantamTalk forum?

Couple more additions and I think we'll be very strong next season. Did you see the photos of Andy Cook in training? Seems to have lost a significant amount of fat! Hope he comes back sharp because he'll have a part to play.

Look at all you lot showing off with your ‘goalkeepers’ and ‘strikers’.

You’re in for a rude awakening when we rock up and play 0-11-0 with a rush keeper.

You mean ‘goalie when’, right?

Leave us alone. We couldn't very well show off Lavery and Robinson last season, could we?:ohn:

Will be fun when we play your lot, Challinor's got an addiction to central midfielders. Might need to stage an intervention

Match made in heaven, we have no one who can play wide either. That centre circle is going to be packed.

That defence still needs a lot of work I'd say at least 4 of them on that list are nowhere near good enough.

I hope Hartley goes with 5-3-2,it gets the best out of Sterry & Ferguson.
Playing with wingers under Lee stifled them to much & we weren’t the same attacking threat.

Our Squad as it stands after all those offered new deals accepted them apart from one of our keepers whom we've heard nothing on yet.

Lawrence Vigouroux (GK)
Rhys Byrne (GK)

Tom James (RB)
Connor Wood (LB)
Jayden Sweeney (LB) - Likely to be loaned out
Adam Thompson (CB/RB)
Omar Beckles (CB)
Shadrach Ogie (CB)
Dan Happe (CB)

Craig Clay (CM)
Darren Pratley (CM)
Jordan Brown (CM/RB)
Matt Young (CM) - Told he will be loaned out
Ethan Coleman (CM)

Otis Khan (WG/AM)
Paul Smyth (FW)
Ruel Sotiriou (FW)
Daniel Nkrumah (FW)
Theo Archibald (FW)
Harry Smith (ST)
Aaron Drinan (ST)

I've not included 4 youngsters who've been given pro deals as they're very unlikely to feature in the first team this season.

George Moncur's signing should be announced next week along with the Antony Georgiou before our first friendly on the Friday.

We are looking to add another midfielder for sure, a striker too - which will depend on if we let Harry Smith go to Gillingham, I've heard they're very, very keen to get him but Martin Ling and our board will want money for him.

Possibly a centre half too, we was in talks with Dion Conroy but I've heard nothing on that since it was told to me we'd spoken to him.

The only thing is we had one winger at the club under Lee and that was Molyneux, we had nothing on the opposite side, Joe White was hopeless there, so was Olomola, square pegs trying to fit into circle holes.

3-4-3 could work with wingbacks, Bogle upfront, Hastie and one other the opposite side of him, who knows.

I think Bogle would be better with someone playing closer to him so a 2 might be the better option with Sterry and Ferguson as wing backs. Unless we can get front 3 playing closer together, every time we tried 433/451, the two on the flanks acted more like wingers rather than inside forwards and it was barn door stuff.

Something like that would do for me, your right though, last season we'd have Bogle positioned slap bang in the middle and Mols at one corner flag and the other wide man at the other, never worked.

Paul Farman
Josh Lillis (player/coach)

Defence;-
Connor Brown RB/CB
Patrick Brough LCB/LWB/LB
Mark Ellis CB
Joe Grayson LCB
Niall Canavan CB
Tyrell Warren RB/RWB
Sam McClelland CB
George Ray CB

Midfield;-
Rameao Hutton RWB/RW
John Rooney AM
Tom White M
Jordan Stevens RM/RW
Jason Taylor (player/coach) DM
Robbie Gotts AM/LWB/RWB
Sam Foley DM
Solomon Nwabuokei M

Forwards;-

Can still see a few leaving;- maybe Ellis, Stevens and James.
Expect Lillis and Taylor to be coaching only this season.
Probably need a CB, LB, CM and 2 Forwards if the above happens.
Still half expecting another team to try to buy Robbie Gotts off us, but hopefully not.

I like that setup, we have the players for it. Tough away games or holding on to a result, take away one of the forwards and drop another CM in there.

Gareth Bale signs for Los Angeles FC.

So what you might say, but he was signed by ex-Grimsby Town player John Thorrington, who is a 'big wig' in LA.

so this is what our team could look like this season;-

GK Paul Farman 6'5"
LWB Patrick Brough 6'3"
CB George Ray 6'4"
CB Niall Canavan 6'4"
CB Sam McClelland 6'3"
RWB Tyrell Warren 6'0"
MF Solomon Nwaboukei 6'2"
MF Sam Foley 6'1"
MF John Rooney 5'10"
F Richie Bennett 6'4"
F Billy Waters 5'9"

We should (fingers crossed) be better at set pieces at both end of the pitch in 2022/23

Really pleased with the last few additions to the squad. Still think we could do with a better RB and another striker. Also unsure who will slot in beside Smallwood.

I'd move Songo'o to the defenders pile. Hopefully we can get shot of Threlkeld and Kelleher who are nowhere near good enough and also get FCD and Staunton out on loan.

Pereira and a RB and I think we're done. ST if Cook leaves but don't think there's a vacancy otherwise.
