Hi football league fan in peace.

Apparently we've got a friendly away at some little Welsh club called Wrecked Ham or something? Never heard of them tbh, but playing a football league side will clearly be the highlight of their postmen, fitness instructors and drug dealers season. Be nice to be able to switch ends at half time and drink beer on the terraces etc.

Anyway always nice to give these little non leaguers a decent pay day.

That will be a sellout. We’re gonna need extra stewards and caterers for the thousands of FG supporters that will flock to this. Nothing vegetarian though, let’s get real..

You probably shouldn't admit to a crime where lots of people can read it. Especially naming the weapon you are going to use.

That's good cos hardly any of our fans are veggies. I only know one lol. Anyone who is can have chips, that's all you can get in most parts of our ground anyway.

Will there be an ice cream van parked inside the ground?

Is that what you’re used to, Chris? I’m sure we could have. Anything to make our guests feel at home.

No it's just something your fellow little non leaguers like Brimscombe and Thrupp have when we visit them so thought you probably would have too.

Anyway doubt we'll bring a full first team, but hopefully your fans will still get to see 1 or 2 of our stars.

24/07 - Morecambe (H)
28/07 - Everton U23's (H)

That Liverpool game first up, it is their first team excluding the players involved at the World Cup. An article in the Liverpool Echo today suggested that Klopp will be unvelieving Keita and Fabinho for the first time in it. Personally I really do quite like the thought of Steve Howson flying in full pelt on them.

Well turns out ours has changed over the last few weeks

Our updated list

Tuesday 3rd July Carlton Town (A) 19:45 *Cancelled*
Saturday 7th July Doncaster Rovers (H) 15:00
Friday 13th July Scunthorpe United (H) 19:45
Tuesday 17th July Buxton (H) 19:45
Saturday 21st July Nottingham Forest U23 (H) 15:00
Wednesday 25th July Burton Albion XI (H) 19:45 (Development also away at Heanor Town)
Saturday 28th Chesterfield (H) 15:00

So we have let Matlock and Buxton down and moved a Saturday 3pm to a friday night. Hmm.

Admission for the home games is £10 Adults. £4 Concessions

However after poor interest last season we have announced a special Pre season ticket where you can watch all 5 home games for £30 adults and £18 Concessions with payment upfront, Decent deal.

Carlton friendly now cancelled for obvious reasons although it was a shame it was not moved to another night

some trialist info

Left back second half was Matthew Briggs (ex Fulham)
striker on trial who scored two second half was David Smith (teenager, ex Sittingbourne and Lordswood)
The very good left back first half was called Lucas...?
Edit - Bedsente Gomis was also there

I'm hoping its a typo on our website, but we're charging 15 quid entry for a friendly against Dulwich.

If true our owners are gonna be in for a shock when no one shows up.

5-1 win today against Sheffield FC in our first pre season game! Good to see Weston and Carter get on the scoresheet on their debuts!

Could any spireites that went shed some light on how we played as I'm currently on a beach in feurteventura !

Crawley have just finished the first game. A behind closed doors game against Fulham at their Mitspur Park trading facility.

Rob Milson (ex Notts; he is originally from Redhill, ten miles up the road from here), Matt Young (Woking) and Tobe Adebayo(?) are the triallists in the first half.

Jamie Turley (? National league), Kyle Reid (Coventry) and Reece Grego-Cox (released by Woking) are the triallists in the second half.

Didn't know and not particularly bothered about the score.

Milson and Reid are the interesting ones.

County pick up a 2-1 win at Halifax, new lad Mulhern on the score sheet, couldn't go but sounds positive

You guys definitely deserved the win. You actually looked like a team that knew each other. Think you'll be up there next season. As for ourselves, our team look like they met each other 10 minutes before kick off. 7 trialists may have been the reason behind that. 2 of them seem to pretty common knowledge amongst our fans

We beat Harlow Town 7-0 which kicked off at 11.30am and we played three 30min halfs.

Josh Koroma x4, James Alabi, Macauley Bonne & James Brophy scored for us. We had Luke Rooney on trial and he played for 45mins.

Interesting that Harlow made next to no changes all game and only named five subs I think. Our second XI who played the second 45mins were fresh, contained lots of experienced players and completely bulldozed a very tired Harlow team in the heat.
