Oh dear, very sorry about that.
He has talent but seems to lack the motivation to put enough effort in.
Played for about 15 minutes for Alty in our season of death. Last I heard he was at Warrington Town

Just smashed West Ham under 11’s 2-1 in front of about 250 fans.

Lost 3-2 at home to Morecambe. Much better performance then Saturday. We played very well first half an deserved had a 2-1 half time lead. Several substitutions/trialists stopped the flow of the game and Morecambe showed their Football League pedigree with some neat Interchange in the box to prevail 3-2

beat Crewe 1-0 today with a goal from one of the triallists after a Lee Molynieux free kick was too hot for the keeper and the triallist tapped home

Hammered Leatherhead 4-0. Had about 8 triallists, one of which (triallist C) sounds like he had a stormer.

I guessed at Molyneux signing a few weeks ago. Would be a decent recruit!

Drew 1-1 with Sun'lan at The Vic this afternoon, they pretty much controlled the game but we looked solid defensively for a change and it was good to see Muir get on the score sheet, took his goal well after a defensive fuck up.

Beat a strong Ipswich side 2-0 and could easily have been more. Ipswich were poor today and play like that in the Championship then they are in for a really tough season.

Alty Team included a few trialists but looking ominously good already, 13 goals in 3 games but not played a team at our level or above yet, should be interesting on Tuesday when we play Macclesfield Town at home.

Only lost 2-1 to a full strength Bolton side today. Some really positive signs to take from it and you can see the improvement from the team each game

Some of above posts make me laugh, about 4 years York won all pre season games and beat a strong Newcastle team.what happened? Got relagated from league same season.

It’s true. Two years ago we won every pre season game and we were bottom of the league by November. Ok so we ended up in the playoffs that season but the unbeaten pre season meant fuck all really

PSV Eindhoven Jong 3 - 1 Darlington. With circa 300 darlo made the trip to the Netherlands. Great friendly from the fans point of view and good bonding trip for the players

By the sounds of it we've played fairly well in the last couple of friendlies. Really like what I'm hearing on Maddison our new GK signed from Yeovil could be a very good signing from what we've seen so far.

We beat a very poor Notts Forest U23s team 5-0.......seriously they looked Ryman Premier standard at best.

We lost 5-4 away against Benficas B team.

Mooney, Bonne, Alabi and Brophy scored for us.

We went 4-1 down, pulled it back to 4-4 before losing to a 90th minute penalty.

We'll be away to East Thurrock United on Tuesday night next.

We beat Runcorn Linnets 5-3, with a trialist scoring twice. Less than 3 weeks to the big kick off and we've just sold our only striker. I hope we at least sign up the trialist.

Barnet 1-0 Fulham U23

Drab game decided by a comical own goal, Fulham defender passing into his own net as the keeper gets confused.

We look toothless up front and I really hope the vacant #9 shirt is going to a new striker.

Drew 1-1 with a strongish Sunderland side who netted a last gasp leveller.

Didn’t go but what I hear, Niko Muir scored and caused them lots of problems, we played 352 (new system, probably to copy England) and looked pretty comfortable at times.

I don't do friendlies but went yesterday what with the naming of the Neale Cooper stand, Muir looks like a handful, if they play him and James together upfront they should do some damage to these fat centre halves in this league, Davies looks really good, Noble likes to get stuck in but could've done better with the ball for me, looks like 352 is gonna be the formation this season, wonder who the midfield three are gonna consist of, be a shame if Hawkes isn't a regular starter next year.

Would like to see this lineup first game of the season.

Sutton drew 0-0 with some local-ish regional team, I think they’re called Woking Town or something. We’re doomed

How many of those players were with you in L2 apart from Loach?

3 of them. Mags, Richardson and Woods. Loach wasn’t with us in L2

We’re just looking to consolidate this season........apparently. Not sure that’s true though.

As he hasn’t signed any wingers you’d presume that 352 will be our go to formation. I think there’s potential in that side you picked, looks good attacking wise, a bit of trickery, pace, tenacity and creativity there. Defensively though, this is Kenton’s big chance this season. Make or break really. He’s gonna need a good engine to get up and down and protect the flanks for 90 mins, same as Kitching but I don’t know anything about him really. We do look weaker at the back than going forward but we’re only aiming for mid table, right? So we should be fine.

Got to say. It's nice to see pools turning a corner (not that I agree with who has helped you turn the corner) id never want to see a club go out of business. What Darlo went through was heart breaking and I'd much rather play pools again in the league than gloat about someone going out of business.

However, don't know about consolidation this year. Aren't you still getting about 400k of FL parachute payments this season (+ some FL academy funding). Which will stop next season. I know the club is trying to restructure those FL wages out but that's a lot of money to lose out of the budget.

Think you'll be trying to get out of the league this season. Not at all costs. But certainly over what you can potentially be paying next season. Not that I don't wish you luck but if love to see a Darlo Pools derby again next season.

Consolidation is what they’ve been on about but it’s obvious our sights are and should be set higher than that. To be honest though, I’m not sure how we’re affording all these new signings when there’s still so many on big wages already here. Hopefully there’s a few off soon.
