3-1 against Posh in a 120 minutes four quarter game. Garner with 2 and mcgoldrick the other. We struggled to score in pre season last year and that carried through to the season, we've got 12 in 3 this time round so hopefully things will improve this season!

Produced the most expensive defender in the world. Produced another who's gone for 17m and plenty of others who play in the premiership. Shame we sell so cheaply though. We need to take a leaf out of Southamptons book.

You've been the dominant force in the area with your academy as much as it pains me to say, for most of the last twenty years you've produced several players who've made you a lot of money and that is superb.

We basically neglected our youth set up from about 1991, we just brought players in rather than through and that's been reflected in player sales and our time of not having a single pot to piss in.

Thankfully since MM came in we have made huge strides and finally we could be seeing the fruits of that labour if we produce our own, that said not many get a chance at present.

Won our first of 3 friendly games over in Portugal tonight, beating Portuguese top flight side Portimononce 1-0, beautiful goal from Adam Reach who's been brilliant in pre season. Another good run out with Farense coming up tomorrow night, they play in the second division so expect Carlos to use a few of the kids in this one.

Should have been more comfortable but it went wobbly following 9 substitutions and Ben Pringle's 5 minute horror show didn't help.
