We're away at Hitchin tonight. Looks like we are trying 3-5-2 out in the first half before going back to a back 4 in the second.

CMS watch: scheduled to play both halves so I guess at least 60 minutes for him tonight.

Drew 0-0 with Hitchin. They lost 10-0 the other day. Fear our mighty attack. Hopefully this will be the last we see of 3-5-2 for a while.

CMS watch: played 90 minutes and was best player on the pitch. Not hard by the sounds of it.

He was very good tonight to be fair and clearly a cut above our other forward players, who were quite poor.

But I am likewise incredibly bored of this saga now.

If he wants to sign he has had plenty of time to make up his mind now, I also don't know why Still has to be so cryptic about waiting to have "a conversation" with him either. He's had 2 weeks to do that, just fucking do it already and stop wasting everyone's time, If he doesn't want to sign we need to start looking at other forward targets sharpish.

Nottingham Forest come to town tonight in first home pre-season game. Notched a 1-0 win at Wealdstone and then a youthful team won 2-0 at St Neots. Millwall & Spurs to come, although the Spurs game is now against a Spurs XI so not many stars in that one.

Beat Truro City 1-0 in our first friendly, fielding two different sides in each half, Marc Laird scoring the only goal.

Two games 60 minute games at Home to Norwich tonight. First game finished 1-1, second game finished 2-0 to Norwich. Barry Corr on target for us.

Overall it was a typical pre-season game but with flashes of promise from both teams. Ipswich at home next Tuesday.

We drew 1-1 with Bognor Regis yesterday as the players adapt to Paul Cook's style of play. Tubbs scored for us.

The bad news was that Gary Roberts sustained a knee injury and that could put him out of action for a while.

We've got two games today, first up we're away at Solihull Moors at 1:30 then we're playing Barnsley at 3 for Bobby Hassell's testimonial. Not sure where we'll send a stronger squad, people have said the Barnsley one is a pre season game for 60 mins then a testimonial. Then in the press it seemed Murray didn't plan for that game and was planning for Solihull so I'm guessing we'll send more of the younger players to Barnsley.
