We're gonna tear this league apart, beat Concord Rangers away 2-1 with a last minute penalty winner.

It's all these bloody foreigners I tell thee.......

On a serious note seemed to be some positive comments from fans on twitter, especially toward Tavares, Mac-Intosch and De-Freitas (the one I was least impressed with signing wise)

Drew 1-1 with Birmingham.

Oztumer won a penalty (and got MOTM) which Bakayoko tucked away nicely.

Caddis equalised with a free kick, although we had made 10 changes at that point, all of which were youth.

That's good then, got a feeling Tavares might prove to be a bit of a gem. I won't go on OVF for any judgement

See we conceded from a corner, some things will never change with Vale. Sounds like we played alright though as mentioned above not that it matters really at this stage.

No matter what chairman we had, what manager we had, what players we had every Vale team I've ever watched looked likely to concede from a set piece

Drew 1-1 with.Blackburn.

Danny.Graham badly marked after 8 minutes and headed home competently for Rovers.

Donal McDermott equalised from.a second half freekick which was.nearer the corner flag than the corner of.the penalty area.

Draw.a.fair.result against decent.opposition.

Yep played last 15 minutes with a pretty much entire full youth squad.

4 actual youth teamers, 3 first year pro's and then Liam Kinsella and Matt Preston who are like 2nd and 3rd year pro's. Other two players were 18 year old George Dobson from West Ham and the elder statesmen Craig MacGillivray at the ancient age of 23!

Youth teamers really did well all things considered, it took a free kick to beat them.

Actual game those was really tight. Both teams were solid defensively and lacked that little bit of spark to unlock eachothers defense. Oztumer was absolutely class though, what a little gem he is.

We drew with qpr at home today 1-1.Not the greatest of games but at least we looked solid. Good finish from 25 yards from Revell.

Was absolutely brilliant mate done a lot of travelling over the last 6 weeks with all the euros but the 2 nights in la manga was by far the best. Imagine if any of us was good and had a proper game in Europe. I hope we have another good trip next year but yours was perfect

Would be a dream, but I wont hold out hope for Oxford. I fully count this as me seeing us win in Europe because I doubt we will ever do much better! :eye:

Speaking of, we lost 2-1 to Leicester tonight. I was sober for this one so I remember a bit more: real difference was in how well they kept their shape. We looked at sixes and sevens in comparison. Mahrez looked uninterested.
Good attendance.

We beat Rugby Town 2-1. Chris McCann was there in a training shirt confirming the signing.

Mowbray was scouting someone at the Walsall vs Birmingham game

Of all the signings why were you least impressed with the French U20 international from AS Monaco

He's going to go upstairs for a few quid, guaranteed.

Tbf, there's 1200 of them turning up.

Bit hot today for all that plastic

That's a decent effort for them. Thinking about it - they must be desperate to play someone local. Think it's been about a decade since they played us!

Going mainly off last night, he didn't disgrace himself by any stretch but he does seem to get dragged to the centre a bit. Leicester had a lot of space on his flank and he spent a lot of time pointing and shouting with the CB on his side.

I mixed him up with Quentin Perreira to be honest who'd spent most time in the French amateur leagues.

We won 3-1 at Matlock infront of 1700 odd, must be there best crowd in years. Evatt + Dennis (2) with the goals. Think most of the crowd were there to see the elusive Mr Evans however. Infact even know some lads who didnt even bother and stayed in pub after team news came out.

Cheers.

I think he's far better going forward as an attacking full back rather than defending so not massively surprised by this.

Still I think he will do well and is certainly L1 material.

Rovers drew 1-1 at home to Aston Villa tonight, with Matty Taylor scoring a typically good goal to equalise for us is in the second half.

We played well considering we only had one full fit senior centre half, although we rode our luck a little bit on a couple of occasions. I was impressed with how we attacked when we switched to 4-3-3 in the second half with Taylor, Ellis Harrison and Luke James leading the line. Think there's potential there.

We drew 1-1 with Billericay Town last night, Dack scoring.

We only have two fit first team defenders now, with knee injuries to Oshilaja (couple of weeks), Garmston (6 weeks) and Morris (long-term) occuring in the last week. Marcus Williams formerly of Scunny is on trial, as is Josh Helan (ex-Northampton). Couple of non-leaguers training with us but no idea who they are really. Need some re-inforcements at the back!

Wagstaff picked up a knock as well. We got some serious problems injury wise.
