Shame, seems odd that none of our friendlies are being live-streamed, but they can't get permission to do so. Has Zanzala or Farman featured for you yet?
yeah Farman played the 1st half on Saturday in our 7-1 win. he kept a clean sheet.
Zanzala played 34 mins and scored 2, hit the woodwork and terrorised Holker Old Boys defence - only went off to give others a chance to show what they can do.

Rochdale 1 - 2 Barnsley
Not too bad against a side that were 2 games away from the Premiership, and have (mostly) kept their squad together. Paul McShane (released at the end of last season) played the second half. BBM apparently invited him to carry on training with us to get/stay fit, and new manager Stockdale is happy with this. No objection to that - when fit would be one of the best CBs in L2, but struggled playing 2 games per week last season.

Goalscorer was Aaron Morley, from a penalty, after Abraham Odoh was fouled in the box.

Fleetwood on Saturday, might have to join the masked masses and wander down.

Penrith aren’t they side they were a few years ago. Been shocking for a few seasons but Carlisle did look very good in spells. Clough if he stays fit will be a quality signing. He’s more than capable of 20-30 goals this season.
not the side of Stephen Rigg banging them in left, right and centre

Played 2 one hour games against swansea! the first team squad lost 1-0 in the first game and a team of youngsters and trialists lost 4-0 in the second against quite a strong swansea team.

You're not gonna win the pre-season League 2 title playing one-hour games. It's almost like you don't want to get promoted to League 1 before the season kicks off.

It was at swansea's request as they had their friendly with swindon cancelled for some unknown reason.

unknown reason. Its because we are fucked and in the middle of a takeover. Suspect we have no safety certificate or proper insurance or policing or anything so we couldn't accommodate the friendly.

Sorry I didn't mean it to sound like I was being an arse. I wasn't sure if you knew what was going on at the club that's all :) you won't upset me, I'm fully aware of what's going on and unfortunately it is what it is.

A member of our Trust was just on the Talksport show with Simon Jordan and that Scottish skysports transfer nob and they didn't have a clue about what was going on, Jordan spent the interview on his phone researching what was going on and basically saying to the Trust the best course of action is admin, which when you have a buyer willing to buy the club, clear up the debts and move us forward, is NOT the right option. Typical press not giving a shit about the smaller clubs, probably much more 'important' things to talk about like PSG signing a ninth goalkeeper or Man Uniteds new kit etc etc.

It’ll all work out for Swindon. Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen in time for them to get their shit together and have a good season.

Thanks guys. My spidey senses tell me good times are around the corner but we may have to go through a bit of pain first. Hopefully we can get to the new season with something approaching a competitive team!

One extra friendly added for us away at Chesterfield on 31st July. Be good if both clubs could do something for Ernie Moss who sadly passed away last week and represented us both.

Ernie Moss is fondly remembered by Mansfield fans who are old enough to remember him going off the thread on stagsnet. He won third division with Mansfield, which took us to what is now the modern day Championship, and a quick google suggests he got promotion from the fourth division with Vale and Chesterfield.

Crawley won 1-0 at our (very) near neighbours Three Bridges tonight. I think it was Alex Battle who scored but not sure.

Bit of a tasty game. Any one would think local pride was at stake.

Smashed Bath 4-3, so that's 9 goals scored in 2 games, with Nombe getting 4 of them.
Promising signs but we still need a few players

Lost 5-0 to Llanelli last night in Welsh League Cup. Took Ladbrokes to the cleaners as they didn't realise our development squad would be playing and offered 10/1 for a Llanelli win.
