Fairly quick 2-0 lead taken at Chorley with goals from Abrahams and Alessandra

These semi-pro teams are going to struggle, their season was cancelled ages ago now, though they did beat Morecambe 1-0 in their last game.

2 goals in quick succession for Lee Angol, and it’s 2-1.

HT - finished the half well on top.

1 down to Spennymoor,featuring about 6 triallists.

I’d seen that Mark Cullen was one of them but gone off with an injury. Get the feeling it’s never going to happen for the poor bloke. Just don’t think his body can hold up to the professional game any more.

Rumour has it,he’s about to sign a contract.Maybe we should hang fire.
Mind you,you know more than we do,because our commentary won’t mention the triallists names.

We won 3-1 away at Stalybridge Celtic with Morris adding the third. Sounds like we completely controlled the game with their goal coming from the penalty spot.

We beat Burton Albion 2-1, George Taft and a trialist scoring.

We've now won as many games in pre-season as we will all season.

And that's how it ended, the commentators decided after some deliberation to award that second goal to Clough and the club seem to agree.

I have a mate who went so I'll see what he says but from the sounds of it Chorley did give our defence something to do in the second half and Jensen pulled off a decent save to deny them. We had a couple of goals disallowed too and Mampala hit the post.

We’re due to play Blackpool at home on Saturday, but they’ve just called off their midweek game v rangers due to a load of COVID cases in the Blackpool squad.

Think it’s safe to assume our players are going to have a weekend off.
If that's the case I imagine we might arrange something, there's probably gonna be a few clubs in the same boat who expected to play and if any of them are NW or NE based then it wouldn't surprise me if we arrange a friendly

He’s a great finisher (although oddly never away for us!) but as said just never stayed fit long enough to make an impact, oddly he finally looked sharp just before covid, had a great game against Colchester and was looking good but last season start well, two goals v Crawley then barely featured and didn’t look right, sure it was Scunny away where he just looked unfit.

Well, that's just bloody typical.
