Burnley today at home, they are splitting their squad between us and Crewe but will be a tough task result wise.

Debuting the new away kit at least.

Fleetwood today for us, following our family fun day.

Can hardly contain myself

We know we’re likely going to lose.

We’ll either get outclassed by Fleetwood from start to finish, or like the Hibs game we’ll play well, get in front, then on 70 minutes bring our 16 year old subs on and spend the last 20 minutes watching a men against boys exercise as they turn the game around.

At least the latter scenario will have some positives. That fuck it’s just preseason with this embarrassing threadbare squad.

Fleetwood did little to worry us in midweek, you’ll be fine.

Overall we've not been great. Generally decent defensively though a few little errors crept in as the half wore on. Not moving it forward at all though, and Fleetwood have levelled via a penalty

But you told us you’d never score a goal - ever again.

1-0 up against Burnley at HT, Heaton spilling a Pope daisy cutter through his hands. Joe Hart set to come on at HT!

Played well so far it sounds.

I was thinking the same. They've got a Stronger squad than I 1st thought. Rodriguez, Barnes, Westwood, McNeil, Liston, Pieter's, Gudmondson, Lowton and Pope In goal to name a few.

Leading 1-0 at half time thanks to Kirk.

We've not made any half time subs for the first time this preseason because, well, what would be the point?
Correction, we have replaced the triallist striker with another. Of course the ball spends so little time in the attacking third anyone could be stood up they'd and id not notice

Bradford City 1 - 0 Wigan Athletic HT

Currently leading 1-0 through a James Vaughan pen. Apparently, we’ve been too much for Wigan so far - Vaughan, Donaldson, Scannell and Palmer causing them problems.

Due to Paudie O’connor still not being fit, I can see today’s starting XI being the same XI that will start on the opening day.

GK: Richard O’Donnell

RB: Kelvin Mellor
CB: Anthony O’connor
CB: Ben Richards-Everton
LB: Jackson Longridge

RW: Sean Scannell
CM: Hope Akpan
CM: Matty Palmer
LW: Jordan Gibson

ST: James Vaughan
ST: Clayton Donaldson

Feels like we're scraping the barrel now (with all due respect to the players involved) our latest triallist to stake a claim for the centre forward position is former wolves defender Aaron Hayden

2-1 Fleetwood now. Poor defending

In fairness to the defender, so far he looks more like a striker than anyone else to play to there this summer.

3-1 to Fleetwood. Not much to say really except that they came out the second half like this win was really important to them and we've no answer for when a better team decides they want to beat us

Currently 1-1 with Burnley. By all accounts Amoo has had another great game and caused them all sorts of trouble, hopefully that continues once the proper stuff starts up. Either way it feels like things are quietly coming together for us.

Both teams making their megasubs now. We've really barely been in this game since taking the lead
Easy to realise why this is though, 1-0 up your manager looks across to a fuming Joseph Barton esq and realises how this could end up should Fleetwood lose, suddenly Carlisle stop playing and concede 3 times, nicely done. ;)

Lost 3-1 to Burnley all be it the 2nd and 3rd goals were only scored late on after we’d made 7 changes most of which were kids and fringe lads so pretty happy overall! £24 million quids worth of talent getting those two goals too!

Decent work out, good performance until the changes. Looking decent.

Beat Burnley 1-0, Kirk scored. Didn't go but sounds like we were worthy winners.

Drew 1-1 with Wigan. Good run out for the first teamers before squad players, trailists and kids came on for the last 25/30 when the game apparently went dead.

Lost 3-1 to Swansea at SJP.

Poor first 30 mins saw us outclassed and go 2-0 down, both goals from Celina. Swansea got a third, through Nathan Dyer and we pulled one back from a Nicky Law penalty. Apparently a much better second half and Archie Collins impressed in midfield for us.

Just Taunton and Torquay away to come in the next week before the real action.

Absolutely embarrassing that today. Barring the first 25 minutes it wasn’t competitive at all. Just smacked of a team destined for relegation against a superior team going through the motions. Poor goals to concede, no threat in the final third. If alarm bells weren’t ringing amongst our fan base before then they should be now.

It’s 2 weeks until the season starts, and we’re having to play a trialist central defender as a striker. If it wasn’t so serious I’d be laughing my head off. What a club, terribly run on and off the pitch.

If we don’t sign about 6 quality players that are much better than what we’ve got, I’m telling you now, this team will seriously threaten to set a football league record for being relegated with a record low amount of points.
