On the old site there used to be a poster who did the championship table thread that head the best ever points, highest and lowest playoff points, highest and lowest relegation places etc and would then plot the current seasons league against it.

Does anyone know what the hell I am talking about or who that was?
I can probably draw you the picture with the last 5 seasons' worth of points finish but not sure how far back the other guy went. Is 5 seasons enough or is more expected (genuine question, I don't know this league very well).

Cardiff back to 2nd - are they going unnoticed a bit?

Fulham seem to be flying but have that tough run.

Going to be such a close run thing for 2nd.

I would say yes, the Preston lad on ch5 thinks Preston are going unnoticed, but fans are always wary of playing them, all anyone seems to say about Cardiff is “they won’t last”. Well, we are running out of time for that to be a thing.

I sort of want Cardiff to go up purely on the basis they are guaranteed to take up one of the relegation spots next season. Warnock's tried and tested approach of thug styled football doesn't last 5 minutes in the PL. He will be thoroughly out of his depth there as he always has been. Works a treat down here mind, thats why he has a decent set of promotions on his CV.

Back down to earth with a bang. Fulham seem to be the real deal again this season, start off slow, then come on strongly as the season goes on. Adomah, and Grealish were a big loss yesterday, but even with them, I still don't think we would have won. I would have been delighted with a point, but in a way now, the pressure has been lifted with this winning run being ended. Tough game against Preston on Tuesday, and a game we really need to win. Cardiff are looking solid again.

Seriously mate get a grip. He doesn't play a thuggish style of football whatsoever, a couple of bad tackles against man city and cardiff have got some reyt stick he's a top manager and I hope he gets Cardiff 2nd too.

Do I fuck want another Welsh team in England’s top division. Especially that lot! It’s Villa for me.

So we don’t have to face them in the play offs:2thumb:

I'd actually feel as though we would have a good chance of beating villa tbf, we've lost and drawn in the 2 games bit we've possibly been the better side in both, especially the home game. Saying that though we've been better in the 2 games against derby too and the one against yourselves which we lost. I would honestly rather face villa than Cardiff or Fulham though, massive pressure on them.

He's a c***, basing it off his career not just this season. Years and years ago when he was Notts County manager he was overheard at halftime telling on of his players to break Steve Bull's leg. I remember another time when he was away at Turf Moor as your manager (a game I attended) and he sent your assistant to go and listen in to the Burnley HT team talk. Ended up getting punched for that if I recall too. I get you like him because he was your manager for a long time, but Warnock always has been, and always will be a cheating old bastard.

the Warnock next promotion just makes us more of a cursed club than I thought, typical really that Warnock couldn't do it here

Villa's away record against he sides currently in the promotion race is really poor as saw it elsewhere, lost to Wolves, Cardiff, Derby and now Fulham. Granted they had a poor start and some may have been during that, but was surprised to see it. Villa Loyal might be able to give us a better idea than my vague rambling.

Two godawful opponents in a row that we've failed to finish off. We are a team of chokers. Top six, don't make me laugh.

Angry little man arent you? Perhaps I should have been clearer, I meant that their performance was awful today and they have been in poor form. They were booed off the pitch at half time ffs. Any team with discipline would have finished them off.

Going to be a proper dog fight for 6th spot. Doesn't look like Bristol are fancying the scrap at present. Big couple week ahead for PNE Sheff UTD Boro and Brentford to put immense pressure on them

Yes, our record against the top teams has generally been poor. We did beat Bristol City, and Sheffield United recently though. We need to do better, because it doesn't bode well for the play offs, if we fail to get automatic. I really don't know why e have a poor record, because we have a very good team, imo.

Huge game for both Villa and PNE Tuesdsay night. Got a feeling we might nick it

Bristol City love a second half collapse, bodes well and keeps the 3pts gap intact.

Blimey, Nathan Baker can't come back soon enough! Thank gawd his suspension is over. Unfortunately, we lose Marlon for 2 games now :(
I'm really not sure about Ryan Kent either, seems to have buggered our balance up a tad. Not a bad player at all but it is a concern.
Eros back at RB on Wednesday leaving Korey and Josh in centre midfield? I've no idea who will play either side of those 2, maybe a game for Elliasson?

Yes, the pressure definitely on us though. I'm pretty confident we can get back to winning ways. It won't be pretty, but I think we'll sneak it. One thing I will say, and it's that, I for some reason, can't see us going up. We should, but I've just got a feeling we will fuck up.

Doesn't Steve Bruce have a decent record getting teams promoted through the playoffs?
