Mansfield now in the play-offs for probably the first time since the 4th game of the season, we were third bottom mid October after a disaster run so a incredible turnaround.

Some tough away games coming up, we’ve played quite a few more home games than away but now we’ve got FGR and Barrow away in the same week.

We will realistically probably finish 10-13th i’d imagine

Honestly cant see us falling away ,get some fresh faces in to bolster us and automatic promotion is within our capabilities ,with the obvious togetherness of the squad even away games wont be such a big hurdle as some think

Big test on Tuesday night for the Stags, a win at TNL and then we will be talking about the year of the Stag And HMS P*** the League.

Still not in this race properly yet, though wins for FGR and Colchester on Tuesday would help

One year some guys were letting fireworks off in that field which was causing a disturbance.
You’re getting the two Gloucestershire teams mixed up.

It was St Patrick’s Day on live TV when the game at Cheltenham Town FC was suspended for some minutes while the local Irish were celebrating their Patron Saint’s Day at the nearby racecourse.

Their fireworks/rockets were considered a danger in case they dropped on a player’s head.

the fireworks he’s on about happened during a FA Cup game, probably a qualifier because it was during our ‘dark days’ we had that little stand behind the net it had seats at the time but not enough so we got shifted over to a block or two in the main stand which gave me a perfect view of the fireworks opposite!

If we'd known you had such a good view we'd have charged extra.

Pretty sure I could hear gunfire when we played you before...someone suggested it was to make you feel at home!

That was us under Hockaday with world class talents like Ollie Thorne & Joe O’Cearuill at the back and Tomi Ameobi up front. I think you got a late equaliser but we somehow won the replay at yours.

We're putting extra sheep in the field behind in a cunning plan to make your lads go WTF and lose concentration.
The sheep have gone this year, to be replaced by a horse...who runs backwards and forwards across the field while the game is in progress...not sure what happened to the Llamas and Alpacas in the field the other side of the road, hope they haven't been euthanised on suspicion of having TB. RIP Geronimo.

Conal Platt was excellent going forward for Forest Green and the Stags will have to look after him better at Field Mill in 10 days.

Famous last words.

He ripped us a new one in both them games. Not sure whatever happened to him but he was like a Non league Gareth Bale according to our fans. Begging to sign him for at least 4 transfer windows after

Was wildly inconsistent. Went to Cambridge from us. Not sure about after that.

Think we were more in shock given the way we’d generally been playing in the league up till that point (not helped by our off field financial problems or bringing in Hockaday).

Funnily enough had we got a big third round tie that season we might never have ended up with Vince taking over, instead all we got was Munto finance era Notts County away.

I'm not sure how i want the Forest Green Mansfield game to go on Tuesday. If Mansfield go there and win, this could set up a massive game in 2 weeks when we play Forest Green at home. I am worried about Mansfield though and can see them going up automatic. Probably prefer a draw at the minute.

As for us, we are incredibly solid at the back, and with Jolley finding his goal scoring boots, and the arrival of Hemmings, hopefully we can start scoring a few more. We are already showing signs of this happening. Traditionally we always have a strong end to the season under Mellon, so with a few extra additions, i have no doubt we will be in the automatic race come the end of the season.

Conal Platt signed for us after Cambridge, firstly on loan then permanently and about a month after that he broke his leg in a behind closed doors game at Donny and we never really saw him again.

I can vaguely remember him making a couple of appearances after his injury but was clearly a bit wary of rebreaking his leg and he left by mutual consent. I think the mental side of breaking his leg was something he never recovered from.

One of our biggest disappointing nights in the conference considering we were denied an away day at the mighty Notts County.

Nearly as big as missing out on the Man Utd game this season.

After the positivity of last week a disastrous 48 hours and feel pretty flat about us even making the play offs as it stands, a horror show performance and ridiculous lack of discipline against Swindon, followed by growing rumours of James Gibbons going to Sheffield United and now the loss of Dennis Politic who has managed to game change matches almost single handed for us and we look to have a lot of work to do.

Loss tomorrow and I think with the games coming up its mid table for us.

Interesting comment.
FGR have a difficult run of games against top opponents in next few games including Tranmere away.
We also have Mansfield both home and away.
Already getting tense.

Memory is hazy now but were Grimsby considered dark horses by anyone after their disaster of a preseason last time out?
We were yeah due to us having the best Manager in the league in Ian Holloway.
