We could lose both and finish outside the playoffs, though after yesterdays results that would be quite an achievement
From a Tranmere perspective, that is the dream scenario.

the only thing that would shock me is if we won our next two.

Mansfield fans have less hope of winning games than Scunthorpe fans, I really don’t get it.

Maybe -- But imagine a Rovers v Swindon final.
Paddington would be fun. We were 30 seconds away from playing Bristol Red at Cardiff in 2004 before Brighton ruined it all. Most sick i've ever felt after a game.

I think Rovers will go up automatically though.

Our recent form has been patchy, never sure what Stags side to expect recently!!

Plus years of let down and disappointment leads to pessimistic thoughts going into big games. It’s been 20 years since we managed to spend any time above the fourth division and that was very short lived.

I’m worried about tomorrow, I know we are a better team than Salford but we seem to struggle away and are typically wasteful with chances.

At home I fancy us against anyone, we’ve only lost once at home in like 13/14 games.

We go on a regular basis and know what we’re talking about.

Basically that’s the difference.

I think if we win tomorrow we will go up.

But we won’t, we’ll be winning 1-0 with a minute to go and score a spectacular own goal, or give a penalty away or something equally ridiculous.

Must admit i’m surprised you’ve fell away, whereas we lost the game at your gaff in the last minute that was a quality game.

The only team to do the double over us as well.

Me too. When we played them in Feb they were 5 points clear in 2nd but they looked a bit powder puff up front. Good defence but I think they've struggled up front.

I’ve no idea how today’s games will go.

Hope that helps.

Massively nervous this morning. It’s huge today. The outcome of todays game could hinge for us on three likely outcomes. Win and in the box seat for promotion. Draw and play offs all but secure, lose and a decent chance of missing out altogether!

Imagine Mansfield fans are feeling similar this morning… although with GD they probably need to win to secure play offs from one of the final 2.

It’s a huge day in the race and imagine some nervous viewing for Northampton and Rovers fans. Obviously Bristol Rovers will probably have too many results to rely on if both Vale and Stags win today as would need three to go their way Saturday and of course Sutton and Tranmere fans will be looking nervously at Mansfield (and Vale in Suttons case).

Kind of unsure if playing today is advantageous or not as the pressure or knowing other results but does on the flip side let us know what is needed.

As Carol said in her video last night to fans though today should be a celebration of being Vale, finally having the last remnants of the cancer that puts us down here in the first place cut out a few days ago now it’s paid off and the progression the club is making on and off the pitch. Should be a cracking atmosphere and hopefully the boys will rise to the occasion.

UTV!

I think there’s advantages and disadvantages to playing today but I don’t really think it matters. You know at this point you need to win no matter what.

All I can hope for is that teams who’s season is over will keep fighting.

When we played Daggers on the last game a few years ago (where we were promoted), someone asked their manager if he’d play the kids as they were already relegated as he had done the past 2/3 games. He said no, I’ll put out a first team today - we have a duty to the division to make it fair for everyone over the course of a season.

Absolute massive respect for that and I hope we see it across all teams in the final games

I think, in all fairness, that Man City should emergency loan 11 players to Scunthorpe for next Saturday.

Hey, I hope Scunthorpe keep up the form they have all season! Wouldn’t want them to roll over now..

No nerves here lad, that's for yourselves and Mansfield. We did what needed to be done on Sat.
What will be, will be, autos/play offs we are ready for either

I think we need a Salford win today to stand a realistic chance of making the play offs. That would give us two teams to aim at on the final day, rather than just Swindon, and a number of different permutations where we could make the top seven.

However, in reality it is probably already over for us.

all i want is both teams to score so my treble comes up;- Northampton/Exeter and Swindon/Barrow already came in.

Yeah, Salford win preferred for me. Don’t think it’ll happen, though.

I’m surprised have you’ve fallen away so easily. Probably the best side I’ve seen us play.
