And of course that will be the case if it's the other way around.

Most definitely.

I've got a feeling that the next team to slip up will be the team that loses it. I've always thought until this point if one of us slips up there is still time to get back into it, but I feel the next slip up will be key now. That worries me, with Macclesfield away being our next game.

Haha, agreed. As if Welling at home would trouble them in the slightest.

That's our most difficult game out of the way with no reason now why we can't win any of the rest but of course we won't, but at least we are still in the race for now

Nuneaton winning at Macclesfield now makes Rovers' game there next week look much easier. Fix up Macc!

Us going 3rd is huge because we'll be dying for an away leg first should we have to settle for the play-offs. I'm confident at the minute no matter which route we take.

Bristol have nothing to worry about next week. If we play anything like the way we have in our last five or six matches, it'll just be a chance for them to improve their goal difference.

Our game in hand is this Tuesday, away at Dover. I trust in our away form to pick up a win there, which will leave us 3 points and a shit tonne of goal difference behind Barnet. Tricky ask at this stage. Reckon we can smash anyone in the play-offs though.

I obviously want automatic what but an occasion a Grimsby vs Rovers final would be. How many would you take?

Do you think you'd ' smash ' us?

Probably 25,000? Maybe just less than that

Would be like 60,000 crowd id imagine. We took 40,000 for league two play off so probably take about 35,000 if we got there

Can't remember the actual figure but we took between 15-20k to the FA Trophy final 2 seasons ago. For a play-off final I'd hazard a guess at between 20-25k at a push. Depends on the mood around the place and how convincing we are in the semi's.

Do you think you'd ' smash ' us?
I think we'd give you a much better game than we have done already this season. Our strikers are scoring at the minute, if they can keep it up for the remainder of the season then we'll do okay. What a moment it'll be when Disley scores the winner!

Just looking at the next few fixtures is interesting. Dover have won their last three so will be tough for us. Bristol obviously have Macc and on paper Barnet's next two look easy but both of them are above Barnet in the form table so maybe not as easy as they look.

We couldn't be playing macclesfield at a better time. I'm confident

Still convinced we'll fuck it up.

We'll get to the playoff final against Grimsby and we're definitely losing that.

That would be an advance as we've never got beyond the semi-finals the 4 times we ended up in the play-offs!
Anyway, individually our last six matches are all winnable. We can do it.

How many do you reckon we'd take to Wembley?

I've always wondered what sort of crowd size we'd get....Obviously we'd have a lot of cling ons.

Given that it's 20 odd minutes away anything less than 15k would be shocking.

I really have no idea. It could be 5k, it could be 30k!

What's our form been like against the bottom half sides?

I suspect it's pretty spectacular.

Our recent form is somewhat skewed by losses against some of the better sides, all of whom are full time. Us being top has been more down to relentlessly dispatching the part timers so the next three games are a golden opportunity for us.

I agree with Urban that Alfreton looks to be the toughest test but am not expecting anything like the walkover we saw today against any of our next three opponents.

Doubt it, they look more like the kind of creatures found at FGR and Eastleigh.

I suspect we would manage to muster 10,000+ if we got to Wembley, perhaps 15,000+ at a push.

Unfortunately, we shall never know the answer to this question though because we all know that we're either going to win the league, or lose in the semis...

Very true. Floaters who wouldn't give a flying fuck about the club if it wasn't for success/Wembley.

We played Milwall in the JPT at Under hill a few years ago and there was a group in the East Terrace singing Sol Campbell songs and West Ham songs. Should have fucked football off after that night.

So far we've played the bottom seven 11 times and won 10 and drawn one.
Whereas we have drawn with Telford Nuneaton and Dartford, and lost to Southport.
Why we are not top -- in a nutshell!! :ffs:
