Not sure of any of the dates but we face Watford at home, Woking, Southend, Sheppey United and Dartford away so far. Expect one of Millwall and Charlton to visit us as well, plus probably Dover away.
As predicted, Millwall visit Priestfield on 13th July.

Good to see us having a few friendlies this year, last season we had 2 games in one day IIRC against local non league sides, played Grimsby in Spain in a weird 4 quartered match and Doncaster Away was the only real proper 90 minute game we had... no wonder we rolled into Barnsley and got tanked 7-0! we'd barely had any minutes together as a squad.
Haha that was hilarious when it was announced we were getting our first preseason abroad matches in years and years and when it thw details were fully revealed it turned out we were playing you. Especially as I think last time we played you at BP it all kicked off. Grimsby v Port Vale surely goes down as the most unglamorous match to have ever been played in Spain by two professional football clubs?

Really wish I'd gone to it.

Even more mental was a few of your fans who went didn't they encroach the pitch (which was essentially a ground with no stand wasn't it?) to celebrate the late equalizer!

We haven't had anyone particularly glam since Getafe in 2015ish!

I don't think I ever saw footage of the match tbh mate, but I do remember hearing some had gone on the pitch, think we did well to avoid the tinpot thread there. The other cringey incident that happened for us was that the Town players lined up with all the fans after the match for a pic and one of our fans did a Nazi salute and the club Tweeted the pic before taking it down and Photoshopping it out. We epitomise that classic mum saying of "you can't have anything nice".

Think it was the game before our last visit.

Wasn't the last one where you beat us 2-0 and Wes Thomas scored after about 20 seconds because of an horrific back pass?

It was after the 1-1 when they equalised in the 96th minute after we'd been cruising but Tonge missed a penalty to seal the game in the second half IIRC.

You've misread what I'm saying.

I'm saying that when it all kicked off wasn't our last visit there...

Added a home friendly with a Luton Town XI on 30th July. Presumably that will be a development squad / U23’s then.

Personally given they’ve just done the Pizza Trophy draw I’d rather they moved the Wrexham game to before it all kicks off and use that as a quasi preseason game instead.

Dont know why they dont use the group stage as a pre season tournament, dont Scotland do it with one of their lower division cups?

Its a mix apparently, boring friendlies these days in fairness, big gap in the middle which i assume is a training camp like Spain?

The Scottish League Cup final always makes me check the date, swear it gets earlier and earlier every season.

One more friendly added away at Bath City on Saturday 20th July. Now this sounds like a fun one to go to. We won’t have played there since Bristol Rovers used it as their old stomping ground for a bit.
