Beat Newcastle Town 5-0.

Played 2 different teams in each half. 1st half wasn't the best and Bogle missed a pen.

Much better 2nd half, goals from Tabiner, Lankester 2, Hemmings and Sanders.

He missed a penalty for a hat trick once, we’d chucked away a 2-0 lead against Barnet (2 Akinde pens what a shock) then we get a pen in injury time to win it, and he skied it high and wide.

Extremely concerning performance from us. Not seen much at all against low level opposition. No where near good enough.

Hopefully if anything it gives the club a kick up the arse to bring in some much needed quality.

Lost 3-0 to Coventry at Loughborough Uni earlier today. First team squad and same drill as the other friendlies with separate teams in each half. Appears one of the Cov goals came from a misplaced pass at the back, new Vale same as the old one!!

Swansea 3 Swindon 1. Strong Swansea team in both halves so not a bad showing - had 6 triallists.

Couple of trialists as well, one a RCB and one a CM, not sure on names. We already know about Filip Marschall in goal.

Beat Longridge Town 1-0 in our first run out. Not much to shout about really obviously, but Ben Tollitt should have had about 10 on his own. Barndoor.

Lost 0-3 to a full strength Notts Forest side today. Held them at 0-0 for 65 mins (big positive) until we made about 10 changes and then the goals started flowing, but in all honesty, if it wasn’t for Boot (who had a stormer), they should have had atleast a couple before that.

On a side note, I reckon Hudson-Odoi is the best player I’ve ever seen us play against. Absolute ran us ragged a few years ago when we played Chelsea at the bridge in the FA cup, and he was different class again today.

Our lot have been out in Portugal for a week of training and team bonding, only 2 didn’t travel, Ben Close and George Miller as they are still recovering from injury. Our first PSF is against Stamford on Tuesday.

Lost 2 60 minute games at Blackburn BCD 3-0 and 5-3. First match was a strong line-up for the hosts against what seems likely to be close to our first choice xi until any new recruits arrive, the second showed a lack of defensive depth with no natural defender to fill the left-back spot.

This table for me should factor in who you play in friendlies as Cheltenham are top because they have basically played local non league teams that there bound beat, whereas port vale played Coventry the other day and Swindon played Swansea, chesterfield played Nottingham forest so are bound lose to them teams.

We all know the real reason why you do it is because it's the only thing Cheltenham ever finish top off.

Poor fella only retired from test cricket last week - so has probably only just discovered football - hence why he supports Bolton and posts on the wrong forum.

I think your lost pal, probably in more ways than one
Your basically saying I'm lost in more ways than one basically implying that I'm thick and not all there. I suffer with mental health and have learning difficulties so you posting that implies that your ok to take the piss of me having learning difficulties and mental health issues. Also I don't support Bolton I just put that to join the site and at the moment I'm not in a position where I feel comfortable to say what team I support as it's none of your business.

You're a bit defensive Jimmy, but the 2 issues you mentioned probably explain that. There isn't a team here that's more disliked than Bolton - so whoever you support you'll be fine. We're generally a big dysfunctional family on here, sometimes we get along and other times we bicker and argue.... so just take your time, post when you want and just read when you just want to do that. and most of all enjoy the banter and the football when it starts up on 10th August.

You are too tinpot to dislike anybody..........As he says he is not a Bolton fan, at a guess i say he from the other side of the Mersey or a Wiganer lost

Will watch him, but i will put this out now

It is not me
