That’s good for you lot. Have your financial issues have now been resolved?

More or less. We needed £50k to see the season out and that was raised in a short time and more. The problem was that our board wasn't telling us anything until after the sh1t hit the fan. The combination of CEO Mark Maguire (now at Hartlepool) and the useless Jon McCarthy created a team which was the worst in my time (58 years). The fans just stopped turning up. Because we're fan-owned we have no debt. We've got a middling budget this season, a decent management team, a flourishing youth team and of course a fan is giving us £1m over next 3 years to help us become more sustainable. He also says there is more money should it be needed. We've got a sell-out friendly against Liverpool as I type and that money will just about cover paying off Ross Hannah and Kingsley James, who downed tools last season, but had 2-year deals on silly money. Hoping to see us win a few home games this season.
