Now as your sig is warning people how not to talk to you so as not to upset you, you then telling someone to fuck off you prick when he's actually said nothing wrong takes the piss a bit don't you think?

don’t take it personally mate, he struggles with mental health issues.

Yeah I'm not taking it personally myself as it was aimed at Adam Stag and not me but that response when Adam Stag had said nothing wrong I just thought really took the piss a bit.

Yeah unfortunately he is struggling a bit at the moment judging by his comments on Vale v County thread. Not nice but for him more than us.

We're into injury time at quarter past five and yet again we"ve lost from a winning position. That's mainly because the ref should be struck off. Down to 9 for over half the match.

It's clear port vale won't go down, but one step at a time is always best

I didn't take offence though, just laughed

Jesus this league is poor yet again down the bottom. Our trams about as bad as it gets yet were still 9 points clear of relegation.

Another win takes us 9 points clear. As I've said before our home form and the fact we're doing a good job at beating very poor sides should see us safe. Despite our obvious faults, some of our fans are lairy because we've lost a colossal amount of games. But I'd rather win one, lose one, win one, lose one than have one of Steve Davis' famous four match unbeaten runs which were all draws.

Just a weird side. We play a lot nicer stuff than we did under Davis but against well organised sides, we get no time on the ball and get counter attacked at will due to lacking sufficient width in the side. If we had balance and some more physicality in this team I'm confident we'd be a lot higher in the league. That said, we don't have many battling losses, when we lose, we're well beaten and out of the game for the full 90 minutes 99% of the time and that won't ever go down well with fans who are apathetic about the club after 5 torrid seasons of shite already. Away record is pitiful as well with our wins coming against 3 very poor sides who were all bottom 3 or 4 sides when we played them at their grounds.

7 or 8 wins from 20 games will keep us up anyway. A reasonable ask in fairness.

We're we as bad today as last year?

We weren't as dominant as we were in the same fixture last year but Grimsby had absolutely no end product whatsoever, pretty much reminded me of some of our stale away performances this season (including, ironically, Grimsby away in September).

Third time in the four games between us I've heard your fans call for a manager (three different managers of course) to be sacked as well which must be a record...

McGhee whining in our post match interview that our squad is crap and we need loads of new players in the transfer window.

Hopefully he won't be the one behind that overhaul unless ramming the squad full of SPL players is the secret key to success in this division.

On today’s performance I worry for Forest Green. Their fans were going with the highly motivational “that’s why we’re going down” chants from 10 minutes in, singing for the manager to be sacked...the manager gets sent to the stands, etc.

I genuinely wish them all the best and that’s not supposed to be patronising, I know what a big deal it is to come up from the conference and what a bitch it is to get out of it, and it seems such a waste to fall at the first hurdle.

But unless they drastically strengthen in January (and it’s going to be tough to get people to come to a team fighting for its life) I think they’re screwed. Good luck to them though.

We'll obviously get Omar's red rescinded as it was a ridiculous decision. It's a shame the Crawley players took after their manager with disgraceful diving and playacting.

Erm... Ryan Dickson?

Agree with most of that but to be fair we improved massively once Cooper had been removed from the scene, allowing the players to get on with making their own decisions on how to play, you should have seen the look on Dale's face when the sacking chants were being sung...I was really surprised how many people in the main stand joined in. Highlight of the afternoon for me was the battle between the beast and the mountain, which featured a couple of half decent wrestling sessions, certainly a clash of the titans. Good luck to the Chairboys as well.

His antics getting Gibbo sent off were a disgrace, he got slaughtered by the press and Pope and Aspin in interviews for his banging on the pitch and rolling a few times before jumping up and running around like Bolt.

People in the main stand were joining in? I wasn't aware of that. I hope it makes him realise that we aren't going to accept this rubbish week after week.

I was surprised how off the pace you were when we beat you 2-0 in the 2nd/3rd game of the season and thought you'd learn and improve. I'm surprised that you haven't pushed on tbh. It can take sides a while to get used to the pace etc.

It's a massive month for Vince - whether to keep the manager or not, and whether to invest more.

It would be bizarre for him to make such noise in the conference and then even more on promotion to so meekly go back down.

Yes, quite a few, but I don't think he (Vince) will do anything until the fans turn on him...as inevitably happens in these types of situations, when fans realise who is holding the cards.

But how long is this going to take? Now's the time to sort it out. It's not very often that seemingly doomed sides go on a winning run and get themselves out of the bottom two like Newport and Hartlepool did in recent years. Still, at least, you've got one thing in your favour and that is you've got a couple of sides keeping you company down there. Three if you include Morecambe as it's just the 4 point cushion they have.

I don't like to classify matches under 'must win' and so on, but surely you've got to get something out of the Port Vale match.

We have almost half a season left, which should be easily enough time to make the changes and turn things around, clubs have done it before from far worse positions than we are in. I can think of one club who were bottom by ten points at Christmas and avoided relegation, in the days when only one team went down, they went second bottom after winning the penultimate game of the season and stayed up after a draw against the team who did finish bottom. I agree that we need something against Port Vale, if we play like we did in the second half against Wycombe then a win is a possibility, but I dread to think what the reaction to a repeat of the first half might be.

I honestly don't know if he would take that criticism on board. Someone who knows him very well has told me that he's very thin skinned in some ways and it leads him to becoming especially stubborn. I just hope Cooper can deliver with the new signings, though none have particularly captured the imagination. Is Phillips going to cope with MC?

I see the same issues with Cooper that we had with Hockaday, that they both seem to fall out with players who are more senior in age, perhaps because they are more likely to speak when they see something wrong...the younger players are less likely to do anything of the sort, hence Brad on Saturday kicked virtually everthing into touch, because Cooper was telling him to put the ball there. In the second half his distribution was pretty good, especially to Wishart on the right, when he was able to make his own decisions. There the comparison ends because Hockaday, despite his tactical failings, was a pretty decent coach and many of the younger players he signed actually improved during their time at the club. One of them, Dale Bennett, is still at the club quite a few years later.

Under normal circumstances, I'd fear for Cooper having read Vince's statement today but, as I thought, it reads like they get on well.

No-one said your player dived on that occasion, it was a case of him running into Omar who certainly did nothing wrong. Ridiculous decision not to overturn it.

The diving and playacting was during the rest of the game from a number of your players. When you've got Harry Kewell as manager it's hardly surprising though.

Aldershot have rejected an approach from an EFL club for Gary Waddock.

Heavily suspected to be from us. McGhee has apparently tendered his resignation.
