He then proceeded to either not select them or play them out of position like the Orient game. And also fell out with the half decent lads in the existing squad. Luckily we sacked him just in time for Flynn to turn things round so suggest you keep GW for a couple of weeks then feck him off once you’ve strengthened the squad. Prob lwc!

Following our dramatic plunge to the bottom of the league after some awful manager appointment and awful clueless Football, last week our Chairman came out with a bold statement........ asking fans not to swear at matches as this is unacceptable. Now, apart from our rivalry with the Chavs and Westleys history, our Chairman appoints a person who has had the most vile and crude abuse hurled at them by our own supporters than any other person on this planet. Seems as bizare as the edgar davids setup in the conference days. Never supported a club managed by westley but didn't he do well at farnborough amd stevenage but then it went wrong for him. There's two positive things I can take from that post.
Doing well for 11/12 matches could be enough to keep us up.
At least we'll get a new manager bounce this time, whereas we didn't get anything of the sort with McGhee.

I've seen us play a Westley team enough times. I know what his modus operandi is.

Hopefully he has usual his honeymoon period, he had Peterborough flying initially and at first (briefly) we played some decent stuff. But then he fully implements his methods, his useless staff get a grip of things, starts to piss everyone off and it just goes to shit.

No way can I ever seen him changing.

I agree with you and I think he's past his best managerially anyway as his methods were ineffective at Newport last season.
At least he won't be bringing Maamria with him to us.

Who knows? Our chairman has spun the line that McGhee was only ever coming to the Hive in a DoF role and thar his brief has been to search for a manager but that wasn’t how it was reported at the time.

As managers go, there's probably a good number who are more likely than Westley to get you relegated, and it's how he keeps getting jobs, he gets plenty of teams into relegation trouble to begin with, and after he goes it'll take a season to repair the damage he did but his record doesn't look all that bad if you're already in relegation trouble and are willing to try anything to stay up. I prefer to term him 'the nuclear option'.
