It’s all about Wrexham for me. They had a similar (more extreme) experience with their owners to us so got plenty of sympathy for them. Also got mates there and would quite enjoy another piss up with them twice a season. And they’re a proper club frankly.

Wrexham, because they’re a proper club and they have Shaun Pearson.

After that, maybe Tranmere or Daggers? Halifax as an outsider. Fantastic away day.

I hear the term proper clubs. What is the definetion of that exactly? I reckon a bit of football snobbery is happening here. Just because a team has football league pedigree does not give them right to be promoted. Its some of these so called big estsblished clubs that have been more badly ran than these more recent smaller conference clubs and who's grounds that have seen better days

But they have to before the end of March as far as I'm aware, so they'd have to decide before they knew whether they'd be promoted.

I'll be honest and suggest I can't be completely sure about it, but when we were promoted we had to have signed certain things off by then, and Darlington couldn't be promoted from the conference north as they hadn't had plans for 500 or so seats in place before said date
Surely other things will need doing to the likes of suttons and bromleys grounds to get them up to league standard like more seats

Yeah, I would say a club willing to buy their way through the leagues are more deserving of a league place than a club only worried about ages 6-18, when the next 'big sale' is going to be and with a corrupt majority shareholder who rinses the club of millions yet has had very little to do with the club for years.

Saying that, I'd like Macc and Tranmere to come up if we stay up. Purely for localness. Wrexham can rot. If we go down, I want Macc to stay down. Macc being a league above us is fucking frightening.

We went through a stage of being a league below Dagenham, Morecambe, Accrington and Macclesfield. It was a scary time. It was a very scary time.

Being selfish a club towards the north.

Macclesfield and tranmere would be good. Also less local games for chesterfield in the conference next season

Bit about the ground from the football league website -

1.1 Subject to paragraph 1.4 below, the ground capacity and number of seats under cover, as recorded in the safety certificate, must meet the following minimum criteria:

Capacity Seats

Qualification Criteria 4,000 (with ability to reach 5,000) 500 (with ability to reach 1,000)

Admission Criteria 5,000 1,000 (with ability to reach 2,000)

Membership Criteria 5,000 2,000

1.2 A new member club entering League 2 must comply with the Qualification Criteria and has until the 30th April in its first Season as a Member to meet the Admission Criteria set out in the above table.

1.3 Where such Club remains a Member of The League that Club shall have until 1st May in the third Season from the date of its admission to comply with the requirement to achieve a capacity in accordance with the Membership Criteria.

1.4 Each Championship Club shall, with effect from the start of its fourth Season in the Championship) only admit spectators to seated accommodation, and there shall be no standing terraces.

Part 2 - Floodlighting

Massive game again today, would’ve loved chance for the new players to gel but we really need to hit the ground running. Crawleys current form is excellent so under any other circumstances we might’ve taken a point today.

Think we know what's going to happen - Barnet will be out of reach come March, they sack Westley and bring in the next Wilder/Flynn and manage to string an impressive series of wins to survive on the last day.

Great win for forest green today, nice to see.

Shocking result again for Chesterfield, who drop back down into the bottom 2 after ONLY managing 0 points from home games against Stevenage and Crawley :ffs:

Nah that won't happen. We're completely fucked. The heirarchy at the club is poisonous (McGhee is an absolute wanker, that's all I can really say). We won't go down and Westley will walk (of his own accord) before the end of the season.

There is so much shit going on behind the scenes that I couldn't even help people get their heads around, even if I was able to disclose it. The kind of shit that can only be solved by removing the chairman and starting fresh. Appalling from top to bottom.

Again, I won't ask exactly what is happening but I am at a loss as to what TK thought McGhee would bring to the setup other than incompetence and discord.

I’m not checking into this thread yet but we’ve got an awful run of fixtures late February/early March. If we don’t pick up points in our next three then we could fall like a stone.

Afta Pools gan pop like and if any of yas get relegated, am available. A’ve got a proven record, a won 6 honaz in Wales at TNS, managed sides in the Champions League, all with a budget roughly the GDP of China.

Ave aalso guided Pools this year to a highly respectable 18th position with the 3rd biggest budget in the league. I knaa how to win like, we’ve only lost 7 home games so aal make ya groond a fortress, a can guarantee that. I like to play 1 up top with nee one in support as me stats tell us that the best teams divvant congest the penalty box. See? I knaa what am on aboot.

Need a new gaffa? Get me on here and aal reply back. Ta lads.

Mr Harrison, I know it's not my business but why do you want to manage a conference side again next year? You could quite easily find yourself a League 1 club with that track record of yours. And it seems you're handy with stats, and that's only a good thing.

How many lower league managers can claim to have managed sides in the champions league ffs? You should set your sights higher mate!

I apologise in advance if you reckon I don't know what I'm on about.

Yet another loss to a last minute mistake. The worst goal difference in the league and a complete squad overhaul during the January transfer window - desperately need to string some wins together. Both the Stevenage and Crawley home games could've been draws, but they weren't, and its a sign of a team destined to struggle when you cannot hold onto points at home. If we do end up going down, Jack Lester certainly won't get any stick from the fans - the board are absolutely murdering this club through incompetence.

You’re right ya divvant knaa what you’re on aboot. Why would a gan to League 1 for god’s sake? I divvant need to prove meself in the French league, a’ve aalready got beat 4 nowt at Athletique Clube de Douvre this season. I knaa what it’s like at French clubs and it’s not what I’m aal aboot man. Aye me mates in the game say am a statto like but aal the numbaz would be in French like at Unione de Ebbsfleet, it was hilarious man. A thought the scoreboard was advertising ECO, them that run Forest Green A think but it actually said 3-0 to them, A was pissin meself laughin walkin past our fans givin me lots of compliments! Didn’t knaa what they woz on aboot!

Am a National League managa as the league represents top level footbaal in our nation, not this French stuff ya blatherin on aboot. A won managa of the month in Octoba which puts me in the same esteemed company as Richard Money. Ave got a lot to give and aal a need is an interview to put me case forwad in plain English.
