Have you still got to play Grimsby?

If so, 1/5
Erm, I get what you've tried to do there but you've done it the wrong way round, 1/5 means there's a great chance you're gonna win the bet so you should've said around 100/1.

Grimsby better hurry up and appoint Sol Campbell. Even a great footballing mind like him needs a bit of time to sort that lot out.

Crewe v FGR next week. Winner virtually safe imo.

Would be amazing if we stay up at Grimsby's expense with them paying half the wages of one of our key players. And I thought they didn't like us.

Cheers John, top man. :2thumb:

Oh and cheers to Vale for Gav Gunning, the lads an absolute rock. Already got the captains armband.

17th Yeovil(34) - 38 points. Swindon(A), Newport(H), Exeter(A), Colchester(A), Accrington(A)

24th Barnet(35) - 29 points. Port Vale(H), Coventry(A), Wycombe(H), Luton(A), Crewe(H)

Well, despite what looked like slim pickings wins wise, a lot of the relegation teams did way better than expected, with Crewe and Morecambe destroying promotion chasing teams at home and Cheltenham getting a decent point at Luton that probably should have been more. Forest Green kept their good home record going, whilst Chesterfield and Barnet picked up massive wins. That's seen the bar for safety rise from 39 to 40 in the space of one game.

Yeovils form has dropped lately whilst Grimsby and Port Vale can't buy a win at present. Important set of games next weekend with Crewe v Forest Green and Barnet v Port Vale looking like the big ones.

Port Vale look like they've got a chance to pull clear in the next 3 games.

Looking like and going it are totally different. 5 or 6 points required from them in all reality to set us up to survive.

I think there is a good chance our game will be off next weekend. Which probably means it won't be played until mid April.

We are down can't defend low on confidence got the slowest and oldest midfield in the league and the only player that can score for us is pope and he is playing with an injury which will limit what he can do. Crap boring negative football and a prick of a chairman with his non league style of running things taking us to non league.

Smacks of a few seasons ago when we were in the shit and there seemed to be four or five teams you could put your house on going down according to the relegation thread. FGR probably the only fans in this place who don't think they're going down.

Think that's down to having half a season looking nailed-on so it really does seem like the only way is up by comparison. Actual turnaround in home form and some unexpected wins have helped confidence too.

We are lucky that there are a few other teams that are trying to be as bad as us. We are also lucky we got some good results in December.

Our failure to beat the teams around us is going to be our downfall, although we’ve yet to play a few of them a second time.

I reckon the safety total will be around 43-44 points as I can see Chesterfield picking up 13-15 points and Barnet about the same.

On paper, I thought we had the easier run in, but I’ve just looked and I’d say Barnet have it slightly easier, Chesterfield/Grimsby about the same as us and Morecambe have it a bit tougher.

Barnet v Chesterfield and Forest Green v Grimsby on the last day could both be interesting games.

Comes from experience. We're experts at relegation dodging. Been doing it most seasons for the last couple of decades. No matter how shit we are we always find a way, on or off the pitch.

Well, I fancied us to draw on Saturday against Swindon and we went one better and got the 3 points. I still fancy us to lose at Exeter, lose to Lincoln, Beat Cheltenham and draw to Notts County.

Port Vale away is absolutely massive as beating them would put us on 37 points with 6 games left and lots of the teams around us still to play - albeit away from home.

I definitely don't fancy us to stay up but I didn't fancy us to beat Swindon. Despite picking up a "massive win", we are now worse off than before 3pm on saturday, as the gap remains the same with 1 less game to play.

It will be 0-0 at Vale Park, we dont lose at home (haven't since November) but have been dire and dont win.

Every time i have a new ground which isn't many in the bottom 2 divisions something happens.
Newport was moved to a Friday and i was at work till 6-00 pm and Barnet is the only other one.
Last season having pre booked trains for Millwall away it was moved to a Sunday due to their involvent in the Cup and couldn't go due to a christening.
Hopefully 3rd time lucky this weekend.
Really looking forward to it, just be ruined by the 90 minutes in the middle of the day as usual.

We have a run of Vale, Grimsby and Morecambe in space of 9 days at the end of March/early April. That is looking like it could be interesting for us..

Last 2 away games are FGR and Barnet too. I thought we were dead and buried but we're still in there..JUST.

This thread is going to be awful in the coming weeks for all of us.

Barnet and Vale over the easter bank holiday is key for us. But a win at home vs FGR this weekend puts us in a very strong looking position. But I can barely remember the last time we won back to back games, so I'm not very hopefully.
